I get where you're coming from, dude — I'm in my mid 20s and weight has been a battle for me since forever. Since you used to work as a chemist, what draws you to peptides the most? And if it's alright to ask, what exactly have you used?
Understanding how things work inside the body is what draws me in, and YouTube has several solid channels explaining that side of things.

July marks my 62nd birthday. My starting point was 244lbs with 27%BF. I ran Reta at 2mg for the first week, then moved to 2mg every 3.5 days in week two. That amount works well for me — the beer cravings are gone! One knee has osteoarthritis, and Pickleball gave me golf elbow, so I began BPC-157 orally at 500mg both morning and evening, plus injections of 2mb TB-500, GHK-CU 2mg, and KPV 0.4 mg at night. Injecting GHK-CU has been rough because of pain at the site; I have been experimenting with dilutions and combinations. This week I introduced CJC/IPA in the mornings while fasted and was thinking about Tesa. Reta made the difference for me — I can stick to a 1600 - 1800 cal diet with 195g protein. Cardio happens daily, and I lift lower body twice weekly. Once the elbow improves, upper body work gets added.

My background is in science, specifically contaminants chemistry, with most of my work centered on foods and dietary supplements. Peptides and what they might do for health really intrigue me. Over the last several years I've experimented with a few of the well-known ones, but results have been hard to come by. Weight loss has been a battle; every decade adds more pounds, and now that I'm in my early sixties I believe it's essential to lock in answers before time runs out. To get started, I'm eyeing Reta along with the Wolverine stack, hoping to address persistent injuries so I can train more and drop the weight. Eager to pick up knowledge from everyone here!
With your chemistry background, do purity or contamination problems with suppliers abroad give you any pause? I work in science too—molecular biology and microbiology—and my worries about that have left me stuck, unable to decide.
Absolutely — picking whichever supplier is cheapest isn't something I do. My understanding is that a few options exist within the US.

Yeah, that's more or less how I've handled it, or plan to. What's your view on vendors who run both a China and a US warehouse? From a scientific or manufacturing standpoint, does that set off any quality alarms for you? Or any QC/QA worries?

Hey everyone! I'm also an ASCP certified medical lab scientist who ended up finding this place. My insurance refuses to pay for weight loss medication, and peptides such as DSIP and Selank have caught my attention. At the moment I'm already taking Ret.

There's plenty to pick up here, and judging by your experience, you'll likely have valuable insights to contribute too. Glad to have you aboard!

A brief update, wanted to share:

Current stats: 226 lbs, 25.4% BF.

Reta had to be lowered to 2 mg — at 4mg, insomnia hit me hard and stalled my fat loss.

I've been trying wolverine stack injections in my elbow and knee, and they've helped.

GHK-Cu welts have been an issue; I'm now doing serial dilutions down to 2 mg/ml, which appears to work better.

MOT-c at 8mg daily, taken pre-workout, started recently — weight training results have been impressive.

Glad you made it in here. This scientist deserves a promotion right away!😂

Stacking the Wolverine isn't something I'd recommend; if you're already on it, see it through to the end, then pick up the compounds on their own. Given your background, you'll value having that kind of flexibility.

Beyond that, check out nootropic and Khavinson peptides/bioregulation. It's a wonderful space to explore. Happy cells doing happy things, even up in your brain.

Greetings, I can't speak to all the different scientific research out there, but when it comes to peptides, I've felt genuine benefits in my own life. Using Reta, I dropped 35lbs over the course of two months. My circadian rhythm got thrown off from years of shift work, so even though my body was exhausted, I never felt sleepy, and I couldn't stay asleep past 3hrs. I gave DSIP peptide a shot and noticed nothing, but after trying Epithalon, everything shifted for me. These days I get 7-8hrs of sleep, and it's that deep, restorative kind. I've also begun using peptides for mitochondrial support—SS31, MOTC, 5 amino, NAD—and I've seen my thinking get sharper, my reflexes speed up, and my ability to recall things improve. I don't need a study to tell me; peptides have completely changed my life.
I'd like to hear the details of your peptide regimen. What amount do you take, how often, and at what times, all for the purpose of sleep? Like you, I work shifts, so daytime sleep is limited to 2-3hrs for me, and whenever I'm on nights I feel like I never stop being an insomniac.

I've lowered my Reta dosage once more, now at 1 mg per 5 days. For me, that appears to be the optimal balance. On this amount, my HRT and resting heart rate are likewise bouncing back. Right now I take oral Pinealon, Epithalon, and a magnesium complex prior to sleep. I've stopped eating 4 hours before going to bed.

At 7 weeks in, my body pod shows I've shed 15 lbs of body fat while keeping my lean mass intact. In 2 weeks I have follow-up labs scheduled to compare all my blood markers, plus a DEXA to verify what the body pod reported. Two weeks ago I began nightly Tesa/Ipa along with a green banana powder. These two work on visceral fat via separate pathways, and my visceral fat index has dropped considerably. I've put CJC/IPA on hold while I'm on Tesa/IPA.

KLOW 80 composition: GHK-Cu (50mg), then KPV (10mg), BPC-157 (10mg) and TB500 (10mg)#-klow-80-ghk-cu-50mg-kpv-10mg-bpc-157-10mg-tb500-10mg
The way Klow is broken down still leaves me somewhat puzzled, because the majority of sources appear to point toward a TB dose that is higher than what Klow can deliver without going past the recommended ghk-cu amounts.
