MAHA peptide push?

I feel like things as they are is pretty close to optimal. People who do the research into these kind of things have the ability to make decisions about what they want to put into their bodies. People who are clueless aren't able to access potentially dangerous medicine.

That said, I would love if cost stayed the same and there were more guarantees around purity/safety.

Integrating peptides with the US healthcare system would probably mean making them prescription and ensuring that people pay $200+/mo for something that sells to grey as a $100 kit.
 
I actually like the way things work right now. People who take the time to learn about peptides can get them, and people who don’t really know what they’re doing aren’t likely to jump in by accident. The main downside is just the hit‑or‑miss quality, and yeah, better safety standards would be great.

What I don’t want is for everything to get pulled into the medical system and suddenly cost two or three times as much. A $100 kit turning into a $200+ prescription is exactly what tends to happen, and that doesn’t help anyone.

The article shows how messy the whole space is, but honestly, keeping access open while improving quality seems way better than locking everything behind prescriptions.

FDA can back all the way off. I'm beyond cynical when it comes to the FDA and more regulations. I never will believe the FDA is out there for our safety, it's a huge bureaucracy run by bureaucrats and fueled by pharma money. Pay to play.

This is exactly how I feel. I'd rather take my chances with gray.
 
I appreciate all the replies and cannot say enthusiastically enough that I 100% agree that the current status of most everything in the world of gray is "a-ok, just fine" with me. I like my research material access unfettered by the government who obviously does not have my personal health and well being as one of it's highest priorities (nor should it). Thank you!
