Ever feel like after you’ve been doing this for some time it loses the thrill? I used to scour forums and price check shit on the daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. Anymore I come to my go to info spots to look and it’s all the same, same questions and topics that can be searched multiple places. I dont think I could soak up much more info or got it in me to give advice on things anymore. I used to be so consumed !

There's always something more to learn!

The other side is I went away for half a year once I had a couple of kits, needles, and hospira. Thought everything was easy. My first grey buy went smooth and there were even people testing it! I found places through reddit and a few discords, so simple!

Come back 5 months later and I don't have a discord account, hospira is being rationed, reddit is a censored cesspool, and my vendor QSC-Tracy is gone and disappeared with everybody's money. I came here to figure out what was happening.

That's when I got serious, dove deep, made actual contacts, and learned that actually most of the crap I learned on reddit & the tube was BS. Now I know a lot of what I don't know, and I have the hoard of a dragon. Now I'm watching everything move to tg and root. It's even more fragmented and the sheep are going to stampede and things'll get even more screwed up.

I ain't losing touch again. Hunker down and watch it all go by, but don't close your eyes.

I am still pretty new in the scene, but yes, things can change quickly! I’m glad I caught wind here of the recent nonsense with Changsha raising prices after quoting much less…I am in a few GBs where they are or might be involved—got on TG and it was a scene! Also, I see more TG GBs moving to or at least augmenting themselves with standalone websites with all the nuking going on. With such fragmentation it’ll be hard to pick up again.

I haven’t yet hit a wall of what I want to learn, especially since it’s still an evolving scientific and sociological space. Like currently I’m in a group that’s looking at endotoxin filtration and its effect on peptides. Right now, all I’ve found is hearsay on the subject. So much more to research and learn in this field—heck, many peps really only have mouse studies and/or very limited human studies!

I do feel like I’m not scoping prices as much. I have a nice supply and there’s nothing I neeed right now (certainly some things I want). I’ve been forced to calm some of my need for acquisition and it’s done me good, so I can relate to that aspect of not being in the peposphere alll the time.

Being in these circles for 30 years plus, yes, there are ebbs and flows. Then again, maybe 2 years ago, I found alternatives to harsher cutting compounds. Now if I read another post on Reta about the same shit, I get tired. Yet I’m sure things will continue to evolve. Also, I have found interest in diet and supplements is probably better than interest in whiskey. So go with the flow and enjoy the presumable improvements in your life.

I know how you feel. I really love learning about the GPL-1s. It’s amazing! At first it was to learn before I started Zepbound, then it was learning about how current my experience aligned with what the studies show at at my respective point… so, I get what you mean by “thrilling”. I’m down 50lbs at eight months.

Things only became a bit less nostalgic when I, like you did, felt like everything was repetitive. Then I naturally discovered all the other peps as you do when diving into the science . Things were still exciting because of my results, but still less.

Became a member here and the thrill began again! Learning about vendors, all the supplies, freakin stacks… insane to me. I had fun digging through the vendor list, looking at price lists… etc. This is when I realized I could really procure health supplements that would improve my quality of life and health.

Now, trying not to hoard. lol. I got a supply on two orders that covers me for quite some time and now that there’s nothing to get, looking through TG just doesn’t hit the same

I went all in when I first found this forum. After putting up with a year of nausea from low dose not that cheap prescribed ozempic just so I could be a little less hungry finding this place was a godsend. And being able to use whatever dose I wanted without it being stupidly expensive, as the legit version of tirz here was $690 aud/month, which I could not afford even though my doctor was happy to prescribe it. It seemed way too good to be true and I never really believed until I had my first dose of pirate tirz and it caused the same louder tinnitus as the real one.

Then I spent at least a month on google scholar looking up every single peptide on the price lists and making extensive notes, trying to work out what had good evidence it worked and what didn't and in general being a bit disappointed that so few of the most interesting sounding ones had good human trial data. And doing endless comparisons of the different vendors and their prices and peoples recommendations.

And then got to experiment with doses ( I had already kept the weight off for 2 years by this point, but had been hungry pretty much the whole time from 145kg to 75kg ) And found I was still a bit hungry on tirz 15mg but had almost zero side effects so added reta 5mg to it, which was very close to ideal, and I ended up very slowly losing weight down to 64kg over the next year without having to be hungry the whole time, eventually added in a bit of cagri as well. And collected 5 years worth of reta/tirz just in case.

But now I do not really need to lose any more weight, at a BMI of 23, pretty much middle of the normal range, being fitter with a bit more muscle and a bit less fat might be better, but considering the starting point, I am very happy, and even more so that it looks like it might be possible to keep the weight off forever, without having to be permanently hungry. As opposed to putting the weight back on like every other time I lost weight. Not much else to do now, other than keep going and not put weight back on.

The only new and exciting thing happening is eloralintide being available so I might try it instead of cagri, and might be able to use it to drop the reta/tirz dose a bit, but not quite the same novelty factor as when I first found this site and the whole cheap chinese peptides thing. And reading thousands of papers on all the GLPs and other peptides.

Staying on diets in the past always required a fairly extreme narrow obsessive focus to stick to it long enough to get results, but now that is just not really needed, just need to have a few injections every couple of days, and not eat large amounts of junk food.

I feel you for sure. The first weeks I was obsessed I needed to recharge my phone several times a day. My pinky hurts from holding the phone. Now it's a bit more quite and I'm mostly just checking a few groups and seeing if there's any GB started. Looking at ongoing GB's I'm in. Checking tracking of incoming orders. If I checked this place 1000 times a day before it's "only" 100 times now .

I feel you, I use to reload this forum 100's of times on the daily. Looking to interact with others and trying to find multiple trustworthy vendors. Now I'm just more of a passersby unless a thread intrigues me.

I have pivoted more so in using this forum as an anecdotal database. I love seeing different protocols for things and reading their experiences, far better than many of the reddit groups. I have a weird sense of trust with this community more so than any other forum or group I'm in.

That's likely due to the flood of newbs joining and asking the same questions and giving advice, or at least tying to. I know I was new, but been heavy lately due to the peptide ads everywhere lately. That's my opinion anyways. I still enjoy it here.

My excitement fluctuates with how much money I can spend at different times. I'm in save up mode right now so I haven't been looking for deals and group buys.

yeah, literally last week I was full on OBSESSIVELY reading every tidbit I could, I was even reading in my sleep, and now Im still very curious and learning, but like I feel like I CRAMMMMMMED for the exam, got a pass rate of 70, and now I just wanna be an A+ Pepper.

I think that is pretty natural. When you start, it's like drinking from a firehose; you know so little and there is so much to learn. Over time, you catch up and keeping up takes a lot less work.

There are so many rabbit holes to down in this space, starring with single vials, to researching vendors, telegram groups, group buys, testing, group testing, etc., etc. As I have gone on, I have explored most of them and gotten to a place where I feel I have a pretty good handle on the lot. I like staying involved and participating, but there are fewer things to explore. It is also nice to be able to share what I know with new comers but it doesn't take as much time or bandwidth as it used to.

My problem now is the mini freezer....there's a few months worth of hard work in there...research...crypto...buying....waiting....waiting some more.....labeling....testing....trying.....organizing cases.....storage.....and done....

I have nothing left to do....sure, daily pins...the every week or two recon, but its not the flurry of activity it had been....I have a worthy chunk in the coinbase, but the mini freezer has plenty of what I wanted already...so there it sits...

Now, I have heard that GBs take a good long time from start to finish...months maybe...That's it! I feel reenergized already!

This happens when you find any online community for a (dare I say it) "hobby" and it changes as time goes on. This is also very common for those of us with ADHD. We get hyperfocused on a special interest until we run out of information to consume or everything becomes to repetitive, at which point our minds tend to go looking for the next special interest. Ask me how I know! 😛

I fear my interest will wane once the research is done and the steps have been followed to actually order and receive everything I've been obsessing over the past month or two. What if the peps I'm looking into don't do anything at all?! Was it all for nothing? This is where I sometimes wish I'd let myself buy a few vials from resellers but you know, we've all convinced ourselves that resellers aren't the best either lol.

I actually did buy single vials of several peps that I had researched here…NAD, Mots, KPV, BPC, TB500, GHK…That Kiss one, some Tirz…I laid in several kits of each after that…except for the Kiss…it still lives in a storage case somewhere….

I hoarded so I don't have the urge to buy any more. But, most of the vendors I used are gone. There is some paranoia that if I need to buy again who will I buy from? So, I still look at the new vendors, even though I don't need to buy.

I lost track of what wave we are in now. I started in mid-2024, which I considered the 2nd wave. The first wave came before me and had already completed their weight loss. They were complaining about the 2nd wave asking the same questions over and over again.

The main thing I look for now is genuine news, which is few and far between at this point.

The main annoyance I find is with the misrepresentations of the news media. I cringe every time I read one of their ignorant or scare tactic articles.

This is now my favorite group. I'm not sure why it hasn't been attacked and removed like everyone else. Hopefully they have a server somewhere that can't be attacked by big pharma and the haters.

I've lost my fascination with All The Fabulous Chinese Mystery Powders I Can Inject Into Myself, but I still haven't gotten bored of Grey Doings; the scandals and changes and the community history and community current events. That stuff's all still pretty interesting to me.
