Taking advantage of the new "Appearance" forum.

I’m about 50 lbs down in approximately 8 months since starting Tirz, and having some concerns about the appearance of my skin.

I’ve also been doing subcutaneous GHK-Cu, using a hyaluronic acid serum with GHK-Cu, and taking collagen supplements. My complexion and overall skin/hair health have never been better!

That being said, over the last few weeks I’ve started noticing the beginnings of some loose/sagging skin in the areas where I’ve lost the most weight, especially my neck, inner thighs, and lower abdomen.

I know some degree of loose skin is probably inevitable with a significant weight loss, but I’d love to do whatever I can to minimize it. I'm too young to have wrinkles damn it!

Has anyone found any serums, supplements, treatments, exercises, or other tips and tricks that have helped improve skin firmness or elasticity? I’d love to hear what has worked (or hasn’t worked) for others!

Edit: forgot to add that I am lifting weights a couple (2-3) days a week 💪

Yeah I think its mostly genetics, the %bodyweight you loose as well as how long you’ve been holding onto that weight. I dont think peptides will do much to help you with that. You can always get surgery if it bothers you alot and if its significant enough.

Micro-needling, adequate hydration, and good genetics are the only things that really make a difference in it to my understanding.

Definitely intruiged by micro-needling.

Has anybody here tried it or known someone who has?

I do it myself. It’s pretty straightforward, but you have to be careful about products and bacterial exposure. There’s a subreddit on DIY beauty treatments that surprisingly has all the information compiled into a handful of pages.

I will warn you I get very itchy and a burning sensation for a few hours from it. I suspect the intensity of that is related to Reta allodynia

I have always been profoundly skeptical that anything is going to make the slightest difference to loose skin, but at least microneedling sounds plausible if it can cause the skin and subcutaneous tissues to tighten up or shrink a bit. ( I have a lot of loose skin after losing 80 kilos and just consider it way better than the alternative )

The exercises posted in this thread have made a difference for me: /community-link/post/202445/

I am doing ghk-cu subq and serum as well but have not been doing it long enough to expect any results.
