Hi everyone!

I've only been injecting for a few weeks now. A small bruise showed up after my most recent Tirz shot in my belly. Nothing alarming (I hope! Image attached).

What could have caused this?

Did I do something wrong?

None of my other pins gave me any trouble at all.

Thanks!

Don't worry — this does happen. It isn't frequent, but it's not "unusual" or anything that should concern you. I began in jan of this year, and it occurred more often back then than it does now, nine months later, even though I'm currently pinning 4-6 times a day.

My guess is that the ghk/kpv is what has ended up making me less prone to bruising than I've been historically...though I could be imagining that 😂

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. As far as I can recall, nothing about that day differed from my usual routine.

Could it be that the needle nicked a tiny vein? I'm the kind of guy who has to know the reason behind everything 😅.

Much appreciated!

Like @ladyj779 mentioned, there's nothing to worry about. It's a normal occurrence. For me, it mostly happened during my early days of pinning.

Looking at your picture, I don't see any stretch marks. I do try to steer clear of those by rotating injection sites, though I doubt this is about technique, and it doesn't impact how the medication is absorbed.

I got this rather unsightly one during my second week of pinning.

Most likely you caught a small blood vessel, which caused a bit of bleeding beneath the skin. Did you happen to see any blood on your skin once the injection was done? Also, are you taking any blood thinners?

Yep, that was the one and only occasion where a little blood (really just a tiny amount) appeared, and I had to hold the alcohol pad on the spot for a minute or so after the pin until it quit.

Nope, I'm not on blood thinners or any other medication.

So that has to be the explanation... I probably hit a tiny blood vessel.

Thanks to both of you. I figured it was nothing to worry about, but I wanted to check, and I looked for "bruise" in the forum titles and found nothing, hehe!

Thanks once more. This forum is full of amazing people.

This occurs for me frequently — sometimes the bruises are even bigger, particularly on my quads. That said, I'm doing 9-12 injections daily.

They fade on their own — no cause for concern. It's really minor ... don't stress ... be happy...

9-12 times/day?

If you don't mind my asking, why so often?

Thanks, everyone!

I haven't had a single problem with any other pin.

Thank you!

In my experience, the speed of the peptide injection matters. I'm on clopidogrel, which does make me bruise more easily, but when I injected more slowly, bruises happened far less frequently. It's completely harmless — it just doesn't look great when your stomach is covered in lots of bruises.

For me it tends to happen if I inject slightly too low on my belly, or slightly too low on my love handles. When I move an inch or two higher, I don't get them at all! My guess is they're just tiny blood vessels that got nicked. Nothing to worry about.
