How do you keep your Telegram in order?

Perhaps this will be useful to somebody - - OR - - perhaps we can pick up even better methods.

On the free PC version, I sort things with FOLDERS. There's a FOLDER for my main squeezes (GBs). Another FOLDER holds COAs I'm waiting on from GBs I've purchased. I also keep one FOLDER for the GBs I'm in, plus a FOLDER for GBs I'm considering. As items arrive and COAs get shared, I either delete them or shift them into a COA Landed folder or a PURCHASED folder.

To set up a folder in Telegram, right click the channel/group icon. Pick ADD TO FOLDER. From there you'll see folders you've already made, or you can make a new one by selecting CREATE NEW FOLDER.

You can also PIN your important groups to the top (the free version allows 5 pins per folder). After pinning, you can slide them around as well.

Anyhooooo, I wish I'd known this a million years ago when I first started using Telegram. The icons/avatars constantly shifting drives me nuts, and with membership in over 50 groups, I could never locate anything. These days important stuff lives in folders, and in each folder my most important stuff is pinned up top where it stays put.

What are your best Telegram tips? 😍

I'm honestly super lazy 🦥 There was a time when I kept everything organized in folders, but now I just mute and archive every group, and the only ones left on my main screen are family/friends and the people I actually talk to. 😂

I keep my channels sorted into folders: one dedicated to GBs, a separate one for vendors, and a third for my favorites from the two groups I use regularly or am waiting on for shipping. Since I don't have friends or family on TG, chats aren't something I need to manage.

To be honest, the sheer number of messages on Telegram feels overwhelming and hard to manage. I'm on it out of necessity rather than preference. I wish more of these groups would switch to a forum instead.

I'm not an organized person, and at this point I'm in 33 groups. I do keep a spreadsheet listing everything I've purchased, which lets me look back and see how things are going.

Inside a Telegram group buy, it puzzles me when buyers pose things like how much to inject, when to take their shots, or why someone is using a given peptide. Organizers aren't experts, as far as I can tell. For that kind of information, Google strikes me as a more sensible and reliable place to look.

1. The cap of 5 pinned servers applies only to the default folder(s)... custom folders you create on a free account have no such cap

2. Every server goes into a custom folder of mine, and I take it out of the All folder

3. I mute every server, after which I unmute the Announcement channel for each one. Occasionally I also unmute its fellow-travelers and semi-vetted Group Buys channel.

4. As a matter of routine, I open my Group Buys folder, go through each server's Announcements, and then switch to the All folder to clear out all unread messages

This is far beyond how I do things. I didn't realize custom folders had no cap on pins. That's really useful to learn. There's plenty here I plan to borrow! Thanks so much!! 😍

My TG is a mess — at the moment it's basically a storage bin for stuff I don't care about much or that's already done. Everything else lives on the main screen.

Folders are going to change everything. Thank you!

The reason is simple: they don't know any better and only come in to make a purchase. Their information most likely comes from FB, TikTok, and sites such as YT.

Appreciate it, @SoCalGirl. Seeing this thread pushed me to tidy up my TG a bit — spring cleaning style. Having it organized makes such a difference.

My TG is a total mess 🤣. Premium is worth it to me since it lets me create extra folders, but as @tekkit pointed out, the sheer number of posts on TG gets overwhelming for me too. I've been stepping back from TG somewhat lately, just to keep my sanity.

In GB-focused channels, all the unnecessary chatter gets irritating... I'm always relieved when the owner switches off chat so updates about a particular buy can simply be posted in the thread.

33 groups plus a spreadsheet — honestly, that's more organized than you give yourself credit for, lol. The "what did I already buy" list is precisely the reason I ended up creating pep planner in the first place.

My setup uses folders for GBs, CN Vendors, Farm, Supplies, Reference, Personal (direct messages), and Beauty, plus a Favorites folder that pulls a few groups from each of the others into one much shorter list. Certain groups sit in more than one folder, and that way, when I want something specific, I can jump straight to that category folder instead of hunting through my GB folder. The one real limit I've hit on free TG is the 100-server cap per custom folder, so not everyone fits in the GB folder.

Pinning inside folders also lets you set the order, which means you can basically lock groups into place so they always appear the same way. It takes some patience, but the trick is to unpin everything in a custom folder, pin your least favorite or whichever one you want at the bottom, then keep pinning in your preferred order since each new pin lands on top of the rest.

Most of my time goes to the favorites folder, where I follow most messages. Every few days I'll switch to the larger GB folder to check whether I've missed anything, though I don't really follow the conversations there. When I'm REALLY bored, I'll scroll the All folder and rediscover groups I'd forgotten about.

Everything stays muted — all groups, all channels. Personal DMs are the only thing that sends me notifications.

@Dos-Dox I keep separate spreadsheets for different purposes. One of them covers buys, and once an order arrives I log it on my Stock sheet — that one tracks dates, COA and Endo — then I label it and enter it into my Case Inventory spreadsheet, which runs 1-13. Conversations aren't something I manage, though I do message members I know from here, as you're aware.

@BNLFL absolutely! My spreadsheets are an entirely separate beast! One master sheet handles my GLP1 plotter, purchases, and inventory (though I'll admit I'm not exactly diligent about updating my pulls from stock), plus health metrics and more. Then there's a second spreadsheet with macros that generates a Gantt chart tracking my compound usage over time. No idea why I wanted it, but I enjoy it, and building it took a while since Excel absolutely despises Gantt charts. It displays overlapping compounds (ie stacks) and the bars are color coded by supplier. You get a quick visual of my usage, and every compound has an on/off toggle, so in the incredibly rare case I'd want to show anyone, I can leave out any individual compound from the chart.

Chatting is much easier on TG than here. Plus, none of our messages get changed by the filters over there like they do here.

A major share of the trouble lives inside the groups themselves. You get something like 50 topics, arranged in no particular order, and every one of them carries its own garish, brightly colored, blinking icon. It looks as though a table of contents got thrown up all over the screen. The result is that you don't even want to glance at it. Anyone studying UI design ought to be shown Telegram as a textbook case of how not to do it.

I'm with you. Telegram is an absolute friggggin nightmare. And right as you feel like you're getting somewhere, they go and NUKE your favorite group. All that sliding up and down plus the flashing — and I finally figured out how to shut all the noises off! Oh, man. It's like 6 year-olds designed it!!

BRB - I need to go check my Telegram.
