Just a little update

Get well soon. Sounds like you have a very competent and skilled surgeon.

Pain management is everything. Once you are comfortable, please stay up on doctor's orders to keep yourself as comfortable as possible. Rest and take care of yourself.

A little update

My knee surgery was August 11th. I can now walk with just a cane but short distances. I can straighten my leg to -4 which is excellent! My bend now that's a different story. I have actually lost 5 degrees so I can only bend to 60 degrees. It's definitely not from a lack of trying. The pain some days is still unbearable. The healing is going great! I now have no bandages of any kind. Yesterday the last few came off after my shower. I have a few scans but nothing too horrible. I can't start using creams of any kind until all scans are gone. Thanks peptides! I got a good pep talk from my physical therapist about me beating myself up about not being as far as the textbooks say. She reminded me I had surgery on this same leg to remove hardware just 3 weeks before this one. So it's been through a lot.

You're giving me flash backs. 😆

They don't advertise about the post op recovery pain, first timers are probably caught by surprise... I was. The deeper they go into the major bone structures the more nerves that are traumatized or worse. I feel for you. ❤️

Something off prescription that helped me was using 5mg cannabis gummies. I hate pain killers and try to avoid them as much as possible but it wasn't possible. I was able to lower my usage supplementing a small doses of cannabis which helped me keep my head relatively clearer from the opiate fog and associated side effects. Hang in there, you're over the hump even if it doesn't seem like it.

do you have a recirculating ice machine. That is THE best thing for pain/inflammation/extension. Wishing you all the best!

Wow, that is serious. Glad you are recovering but take it easy, and definitely stick to PT. That is patients number one mistake, they stop PT way to early. Hoping the pain lessons and you recover strong!

I've had quite the surgery history on my legs and knees. It's a deep hurt that it's hard to control.

Without my smoking I think I would have lost my sanity without it.

Yep got all that. Unfortunately this isn't my first rodeo.

I'm so sorry for the pain. I just wanted to pop in and say I'm glad you use cannabis, because it is really life changing for pain. I started growing my own cannabis after going through breast cancer treatment, including a bilateral mastectomy and some pretty gnarly radiation. Growing a couple of plants at a time and learning the process of drying and curing has been as therapeutic to me as all the many ways one can ingest it! Highly recommend, if you don't already. I live in a legal state and got a medical card, I get clones at dispensaries for cheap and grow awesome weed for myself and a few lucky friends.
