Hi,

I'm new to all of this, so sorry if this isn't the right spot to ask. I've been researching on my own and trying to figure out how to connect with Chinese sources. I've reached out to a few, and they sent me lab reports of their own. My understanding was that Janoshik is the standard.

If a lab doesn't have a Janoshik test, should that disqualify them, or does it not really matter in the big scheme of things?

Thanks!

In the grand scheme, this doesn't matter much. The key thing is to run your own Janoshik test so you can be sure the product is good. You should also ask them what guarantees they offer for mass and purity, and which labs they recognize for test results.

Stay cautious and use common sense: dig through the forums, and focus on sellers who have established a long track record. Vendor reviews are worth checking too. Treat all of it with skepticism, but if you're new to the grey market, it's wiser to begin with recognized sources that have longevity and feedback before you branch out to more obscure contacts.

Also, don't place too much trust in any COA a vendor hands you. Gaming the system is far too easy. Picture this: you're a vendor sitting on 1,000 vials of Tirzepatide 30mg whose quality/purity is unknown. Your move is to purchase a single vial of Tirzepatide 30mg of known quality, ship it off for a verified report, then match the cap color to your stock of unknown vials. Boom: you now hold a verified report showing quality peptides, yet nobody can tell whether the vial in that COA even came from the same batch as your inventory.

The best approach is to link up with a reputable vendor, then grit your teeth and submit a vial for testing on your own. Apart from that, it's probably all smoke and mirrors 🙂

Appreciate it! While browsing FB, I came across a few ads pointing to Chinese WhatsApp contacts, though some of them handed over COAs that weren't from Janoshik. Since plenty of others treat Jano as the norm, I took that as a warning sign.

My plan is to stay with sources that show Jano results right away, and to ship a vial off for testing before I start any research using the product.

Those Assbook ads are showing up because of cookie tracking.

So I take it they're not worth bothering with? Those are Chinese phone numbers.

Appreciate everyone's input! I tried to write something longer, but being a new member seems to be capping how much I can reply.

That said, I get what you mean about the COAs — it's pretty simple to send in a solid sample and then claim that's what the whole batch contains.

Right, keep to the ones that get mentioned around here.

Right, that's it. Also, stay on top of the latest posts. Even suppliers that were widely trusted before, like Nexaph and Uther, have changed from how they once were.

Certain suppliers have a higher chance of being independently tested, for example through group testing efforts or group buying (GB) groups.

As a general rule in life, my assumption is that anything worth having wouldn't be pushed on FB or Insta. Odds are it's no good, or even more likely a scam.

Thanks, that makes sense to me.

From what I've seen, the really reliable suppliers I work with on a regular basis do promote themselves on Facebook and Insta. I'd rather not mention names, but these are solid, trustworthy sources. The ones that strike me as largely fraudulent tend to be the advertisers showing up in google search results. I'd stay away from those. That's just what I've run into.

Of course, there are exceptions. Another thing to worry about is whether it's actually them. I'm a big home gym person. I've lost count of how many fake Rogue Fitness ads I've come across. They look completely legit and lead to legit-looking websites. If you weren't familiar with Rogue's pricing and sale policies, you probably wouldn't realize it wasn't their website. I've reported them and nothing ever seems to happen.

That's a fascinating pushback! When you first connected with them, was it through FB or IG, or did you only discover those accounts once you'd already located them somewhere else?

Nope — I came across them by word of mouth long before they showed up on my FB and Insta feeds. My guess is that my browsing on their site caused them to pop up. That said, a FB or Insta ad shouldn't be trusted without question, so he does have a point. I'm only saying I wouldn't write them off right away. As for Google searches, those strike me as really sketchy.
