Is 15 mg/mL too concentrated for reconstituting reta?

I’ve got 30 mg vials of lyophilized reta. Can I reconstitute with 2 ml BAC, or will solubility be a problem? I made a dumb mistake and only bought 2 ml sterile vials for filtering and reconstituting. Still, pinning a smaller volume does appeal to me. Thanks.

My compounding pharmacy used 1 mL to dissolve 20 mg of tirz. These days, though, I use 3 mL for nearly everything, since in theory that means less microaggregation as the molecules collide over time.

I'm on my 2nd kit of Tirz at 1ml to 30mg, and it hasn't caused any issues.

I believe @Calm Logic shared something about minimum solubility previously, and 2ml ought to work.

Came across this on the web

When thinking about solubility, it helps to know how much water the factory originally used to dissolve that same peptide into solution before lyophilization. For gray market 3mL vials, that quantity is usually around 1mL per vial.

You can check this by examining the size of the lyophilized puck. If the puck measures roughly 1mL (meaning its height reaches about 1/3rd of the way up the vial, not counting the neck), that suggests approximately 1mL of water was used originally.

In your situation, you're asking about 2mL of water, which is twice what the factory started with, so from a solubility standpoint there's a good chance you'll be fine.

Another point in favor: measurement mistakes or fluctuations matter less. With a 30mg/mL solution, an error or variation of 1 unit carries more weight than 1 unit would in a 10mg/mL solution.

In my view, dosing plays a big part in this.

My weekly dose is 15mg, so with 30mg/1ml I get 2 shots of 15mg, each at .5 ml.

It just makes things simpler for me.

Back when my dose was 5mg, I'd probably have gone with 3ml/30mg and still kept the shot at .5ml.

That's the issue - I don't use that many Peptides... Just Reta and maybe I start some GHK-Cu ,so, actually, my Reta vial usually lasts 1 month! :/

With an R30, I use 2ml. Here's the part that throws people: for an R100 I go with 5ml, and for the R140's I use 6ml. That ratio confuses members a lot, but our combined dose is 20mg/week.

My assumption was that many grey T30 vials actually contain 30+ a little extra.

Since I stay on small doses all the time, I always mix based on the amount shown on the COA.

Maybe once someone reaches 15mg dosing, precision matters less?

Is that the reason you're able to go exactly 1ml to 30mg Tirz?

Correct — the COA isn't what I go by; I rely on the labeled mass.

In the grand scheme, that difference isn't very large either.

It feels like low-mg reta kits are easier to come by than low-mg tirz kits...I mean, 20mg tirz kits do show up now and then, but not the way reta 10s and 20s do....those seem to be available just about everywhere....

...and for me the math works out best on the reta 20s, I have a bunch of them....so yeah, I am sure some people would be better off with lower tirz kits....I picked up a couple of 5mg sema kits because, I think I am on 250mcg doses....and that maths out to like well into next year for a vial.... 😳
