Hello everyone, I’m happy to have found this group. Having somewhere to read and talk while heading toward 190lbs means a lot.

Until recently, I didn’t grasp how far I’d let things slide. About 3 months back, I got a serious wake-up call: someone took a picture of me without my consent at the car dealership 😭

I spent 10 years in the military, and over the past few years I’ve really lost my way with my health. It left me pretty depressed. Fitness and maintaining a healthy weight used to be a huge source of pride for me. It’s wild how quickly that can fall apart when there’s no longer an external requirement keeping you fit.

I’ve moved beyond feeling sorry for myself, and I’ve already lost more than 65lbs in just over 2 months.

I realize that will taper off once I get closer to my goal weight, but GLPs plus a solid community should help me keep going.

Anyway, I’m going back to binge-reading the forums 🙂

Welcome to the forum. A crazy start to the progress, that is. Best of luck on the journey is what I wish you. Your previous self will be reached in no time 🙏💪

Shaving off 65 pounds over 2 months is a truly incredible accomplishment. That's really awesome! I went through the same thing after stepping away from competition life, with nothing mandated on

For a while, training, pizza, and chess turned into my mandate! Wishing you ongoing success!

That is really impressive progress.

As your weight loss starts to slow, keep in mind that a gradual, consistent pace is usually the one that wins. For many of these medications, trials are designed to measure how quickly weight can be lost, as well as to examine safety and side effects. They don’t necessarily show the best pace for feeling your best while taking them. Wishing you the best as you continue.
