My wife and I had been discussing GLP1s and began looking into them. What a rabbit hole! I want to keep learning more. Mainly considering Reta for weight lose and to improve quality of life.

I run a small manufacturing business, work 6+ days a week and spend most of the day on my feet. I changed my diet, cut out soda and still can't seem to shed any weight.

Thank you for all the information and resources from the community here.

Seems to me like you've landed in the right spot. The sheer volume of info on here is honestly a lot for me to take in.

Wishing you the best as you move forward

As I keep digging into this, things from long ago are coming back to me.

Years back, I did an internship at a pharmaceutical company. Compression and finishing were my main areas, though I also put in time in blend. There was a lot of GMP training, I got to observe validation meetings, and I contributed to writing non compliance reports.

When I didn't get accepted into their management training program, I basically moved on and didn't give it much thought. These days it's providing me with some extra perspective. Life has a funny way of circling back.

I hear you — the GLP‑1 rabbit hole goes deep. About four months in on Tirz for me, and when my wife got curious, it honestly took just the tiniest push before she was in as well. Since then it’s felt like a shared project.

Reta has been part of my stack for a few weeks too, though Tirz has basically locked down a lasting place for me. For my part the pairing has held up well, particularly after spending years fighting a metabolism that wouldn’t budge.

Juggling a company while constantly on your feet is brutal. Dropping soda and tidying up what you eat is already a massive change, so don’t be hard on yourself about results not showing up right away. With these meds, the whole thing just feels less like shoving a boulder up a hill.

Good on you for reading up — this community genuinely takes a lot of the overwhelm out of the learning curve.

I appreciate the feedback and the warm reception!

Work definitely plays into this. Looking back, I'd say my digging began when I wanted to grasp how chronic stress takes a toll. I get so tense that sitting quietly and unwinding is hard for me. Lately I've started trying out mindfulness practices and similar things.

Having a hand to push that boulder would mean a lot.

Glad to have you here! My situation isn't far off from yours. As of right now, I've been running peptides that aren't GLP for roughly 3 months.

Like you, I want to better my life and keep shedding pounds. Non GLP peptides can definitely deliver. Quite a few of them are dubious, honestly, though a handful I genuinely rate highly. I figured I'd share just my top 3 (I actually like 7, but I don't want to bury you)

Quick context: 40 year old guy, 226 lbs (I was above 260 when this all began). Every Friday I inject 7 mg Tirzepatide, and on Mondays it's 2 mg Reta plus 0.5mg Cagrilintide. I also take 25 mg Adderall XR (extra instant release when the day is rough). Chronic fatigue has been my companion for about 15 years, and it's gradually getting better.

CJC-1295 (no DAC)/Ipamorelin, 1:1 blend - This one encourages your body's own growth hormone release in a natural pulse. Fat loss gets a small nudge from it (modest, not dramatic), and although sleep quality improves once you're out, it won't make you sleepy. There are CJC-1295 versions WITH DAC, but that variant isn't for me. It sticks around too long and doesn't replicate the body's natural GH pulses. My view: quitting it after using the DAC version could spell trouble later on.

NAD+ - Mitochondrial function depends heavily on NAD+, which is how energy gets made, and it also assists enzymes in repairing damaged DNA. As we get older, our natural supply drops (typically around 35-40 for most people). For me it's been useful, somewhat for physical energy, but my thinking seems to sharpen a bit faster. Oral NAD+ precursors, NR or NMN, are another route. Those do work. In my own case, though, subcutaneous NAD+ gave the biggest gains.

Semax - Hearing the name, some people wince, assuming it's meant for sexual health. Actually it's a cognitive peptide. Its neuroprotective profile is decent, and by raising BDNF (Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor) it reportedly sharpens cognition, memory, attention, and resilience to stress. It also plays a role in modulating dopamine and serotonin.

That's my top 3! Reach out anytime with questions, or anything peptide related. Expert I am not, but my interest in them is huge and I've gone through plenty of fascinating research papers on the subject.

Beyond GLP-1, I would suggest incorporating some strength training. Whether at home or in a gym, working your muscles lets your body burn extra fat more effectively. Enjoy your time here.
I completely concur! That has to be one of the factors involved.

Do you think a CJC and IPA blend works better than Tesamorelin? I've been using Tesa for 7/8 weeks now, and while my weight is going down, I've noticed barely any change in fat around my midsection. (I'm also on Tirz)

I get that targeted fat loss isn't possible, but I was really hoping Tesa would give at least some assistance.

Funny you should bring that up — I've been gathering firsthand accounts from people in this community (it feels a lot friendlier and less condescending than Reddit).

I haven't had the chance to test it myself, but based on what I've gathered, it works better at burning that stubborn visceral fat (the type sitting under muscle and surrounding organs, etc.). That said, I've come across reports that it leads to water retention and a bit of extra water weight. Whether that effect is short-lived, I can't say for sure. With that in mind, there are several options combining CJC, IPA and Tesa. Once my off-cycle wraps up in a few weeks, I'm seriously leaning toward trying that. I'll let you know how it goes!

I appreciate the kind greeting. Semax and Selank caught my attention too. From what I can tell, a nasal spray is one way to use them.

NAD+ and CJC also seem worth looking into!

Semax and Selank get used intranasally by plenty of folks. My own preference is subq, since that approach seems to produce steadier levels across a somewhat longer window. This part is purely anecdotal, so weigh it accordingly: hair thinning has been reported by some users when Semax is taken nasally. Could it be tied to a bigger BDNF spike? Once more, I haven't come across solid studies that confirm or refute this, I just figured it was worth bringing up.
