Hello…

I just joined! Looking forward to picking up knowledge from everyone here. My son has shown me a bit about peptides, and I'm eager to gain more insight through this forum. I'm married with 3 children.

I live with an auto immune disease, I've undergone bariatric surgery, and I also want to shed some weight.

Welcome! I had the sleeve done too, and I'm here to pick up whatever I can from what others have gone through — bariatric folks in particular. Best of luck! I've got plenty of reading ahead of me too. It's great that your son is around to help you figure things out and pick things up as well. 😊

Curious - what's your total loss since the sleeve op?

Down roughly 100 pounds on my end, and then the scale stopped moving. Getting into onederland would be the dream - that's another 25 pounds to shift.

Daily walks, careful eating, every sweet thing cut out. And still stuck.

Yeah, that frustration is something I know well. During the first 9 months I dropped roughly 75 lbs, and after that nothing moved. Alcohol was the only thing that made my weight shift: I started drinking a year after surgery and put on around 7 lbs. Once I cut alcohol again, that gain came off and I was right back on a plateau. Then... this year I drank again. Now that I've stopped, my hope is that everything I'm picking up will let me get past this plateau and take off the last 20-30 lbs standing between me and my goal weight. Nov will mark 3 years since the operation.

Wow… our results line up pretty closely. This month marks 2 years for me. My eating habits stayed basically the same, and I still dropped the 75. But after that.. the scale refused to move.

That’s how I ended up trying Tirz! 7 weeks in and I’m down 30 pounds. When I stepped on the scale Sunday, it read 211 pounds!

Have you begun using any GLP’s?

Yeah, only started not long ago. Before I understood more about the gray market, I picked up some Mounjaro in Mexico, so I'm in week 3 and currently just using 1.5 until I place another order. That 30lbs loss is great, must feel incredible. I've gotten back into being active and exercising too. I had to stop cycling classes because I somehow hurt my meniscus, but apparently there's a peptide for that as well lol. I'm trying not to sabotage myself by making my diet too strict. With the food noise going down, I'm confident it'll be easier to handle. I recently did some labs for my yearly post op check and to establish a baseline for glp's, and so far everything looks good. Since your sleeve, have you run into any vitamin deficiencies? Are you using tirz as your only peptide?

Auto immune conditions run in my case too! GB isn't among them, yet my stomach gives me constant grief....ie Hiatal Hernia, GERDs and diverticulosis 🤐 and those are just the ones with a diagnosis lol
