Hi there,

I live in the US, and I've been dealing with gastrointestinal and vascular problems that started after a severe COVID-19 case 2 years back. I'm eager to pick up knowledge from this community, as well as about new peptides overall.

What I'm really enjoying is how much detail I'm discovering regarding the anti-inflammatory effects of GLPs—something I hadn't anticipated at all.

Just going to bump this with an update. 1 week into tirz and I'm down 4lbs. That's actually incredible. I'd been doing the keto journey and hit a plateau until tirz came in.

My spouse dealt with what they called "long term covid". What that actually means is unclear to me, and honestly it seems like nobody has a clue. She went through severe hair shedding and complete exhaustion that lasted months. Luckily, her hair is thicker than an ape on steroids, so most people didn't pick up on it. After seeing many doctors, noone could really say, though one of them labeled it long term covid. We're in the midwest, where Healthcare has a reputation for not being the greatest unless you're near a major city. What actually helped her improve is a mystery—maybe it was just time? Noone knows. I love her, and she drives me crazy sometimes, too. I'm sure I do the same to her....Keep holding on. You've got my support!

Appreciate it. Based on what I've picked up, early on the top levels of the medical field downplayed how much covid hurt particular groups so as not to alarm the public. Maybe it's simply that some of us drew the short straw genetically, and it feels as though we're a tolerable sacrifice so that life can return to usual. That's just my take/conspiracy-ish idea.

Quite a few of my friends are seriously ill with ME/CFS that showed up following their infections. I'd say most people I know don't appear to have these problems, or not as severely, or not for as long.

"Covid" took two people I was close to. My buddy's mom and dad both died from it....Every single day he stood at a glass window to talk with his mother. Visits were forbidden. She was stuck in one section of the facility. He was never given the chance to hold her one last time before she passed. The service was an absolute mess. 6 foot spacing............ All of it makes me furious, above all the way it was managed. How our church dealt with "IT" shook me too. The church slammed completely shut. When it reopened, it resembled a crime scene. Yellow tape all over, blue tape making an X on seats so you could see exactly where your ass belonged. It wounded me deeply. My employer emailed me a document, which I printed out, telling police officers "please allow passage of travel for this essential worker" so they would let me through. So the upside....traffic was the lightest I have ever witnessed. Our church has come back and we hold no grudges against those who kept their mask on while driving by themselves (dumbasses). Don't get me started! I will never be the same, I have witnessed too much shit. At this moment I am concentrating on my health and attempting to compensate for wasted time ( my own fault). I will assist as many people as God permits before I die. Love you. Ephphatha!

Welcome — and thanks for the update.

Dealing with post-COVID problems is rough, but you're certainly not the only one exploring peptides for the inflammation angle. A lot of people are caught off guard by the GLP anti-inflammatory effects.

Also, dropping 4 lbs in week 1 after a plateau is an excellent sign — particularly when coming off keto, where stalls can be stubborn. Early losses might include water along with fat, but it still indicates a shift in the right direction.

Hope the weight and how you feel both keep improving. Keep us posted 👍

I take it one day at a time. There are good days and bad days. Yesterday I wrote about a crash: /community-link/post/142432/

Without GLPs and while on keto, I have dropped 30lbs across 3 months. Since I am close to my target weight, my macros may need adjusting.

Fasting and keto have given me the best stretch of feeling good that I have had in a very long time.

New food allergies seem to be in play, so steering clear of certain items has produced the most positive outcome.
