Hey all,

I am a 45-year-old bloke, 5'11", sitting at 253 lbs right now, and I have finally reached the point of deciding to get serious about returning to a healthy weight.

I arrived here after a purchase I now see as an expensive mistake. Ret40 came from a website at $290 for a single bottle. 😞 More reading led me to this community, where it became clear I had overpaid, so the plan now is to learn properly before spending again.

The first order has not landed yet, so meanwhile I have been reading a lot of threads and looking into different vendors. One thing still unclear to me is how payment works. Is Bitcoin pretty much the standard, or do reputable vendors take other methods? I have also seen Alibaba links mentioned - does anyone know how that works, or whether it is normal?

I am keen to learn from the people here, skip the beginner mistakes, and hopefully be back at a healthy weight within the year.

Search around for peptides and reseach and you will have more hits than you can use. Naming our own source is probably not allowed, but my start came via a club selling aminos
 
honestly, spending some time over on the bitcoin forum is probably your best bet. It sounds overwhelming, but paying with actual BITCOIN isn't required — plenty of places take Stable coins (essentially US currency sitting on a coin exchange), and after you read up a little on how that works, it becomes very easy (and honestly safer for you long-term if what you're buying is "experimental" stuff. Personally, I set up a Coinbase account and then an exodus wallet for sending payments. Do a bit of reading, promise its not that scary 🙂 Also, about your $ purchase, its a rite of passage 🙂
 
I just paid $280, and although it's only been roughly 60 minutes, I've gotten no reply or confirmation at all.

I realize that 1 hour might not be much, but the thought that I've been scammed is starting to creep in. 😬

Is there anyone here who's dealt with wait times like this? Any input or calming words would be great before I go into full panic mode.

That’s already happened to me on 2 occasions. The first order did eventually ship and arrive—what was supposed to be a “2-3 day delivery” stretched to 2 weeks. I was pretty anxious, just hoping I hadn’t lol. But with the second buy, I’m still waiting. According to them, a typhoon is holding up the shipping. Guess we’ll find out 😬. How has your research been treating you up to now?
 
With the supplier I deal with, they usually confirm that they've gotten the transaction hash. Once that happens, though, I often go a day or 2 without any word from them — sometimes longer, sometimes not at all. On one occasion, the package actually arrived before I was ever given tracking details.

That said, by now I've placed plenty of orders with them. If you haven't gotten a response yet, my suggestion would be to follow up with your supplier after 24 hours. Then, if tracking still hasn't come through, wait another day or 2 before checking again.
 
Appreciate it, I'll take that advice and hope for the best. Getting the whole lot for under what I paid for a single Ret40 bottle before had me pretty pumped... but at this point, with no response since I sent the transaction hash, I'm starting to feel anxious.

My first order had me doing the exact same thing—refreshing the tracking page every day. In the end it all showed up without any problems, and that's when it hit me: this isn't Amazon Prime😂
 
Full circle — this morning a message arrived telling me my order had been placed. Yeah, I figure having Prime show up in 3 hours, plus a tracking number landing 2 seconds after you order, left me totally unprepared for a chill grey market ride.
