I just joined this forum, and I'm also brand new to glp/pep things. My guess is that, same as many people on here, my aim is to see how my results stack up against others' and pick up information in a safe way. Does anyone have advice to share? Honestly, all of this feels a bit much lol.

First off, what are you aiming for? Dropping pounds? Building muscle? General wellness? Something more particular? And how would you rank those priorities?
Losing weight and getting healthier are my top priorities. At the same time, I want to build or keep muscle, which gets complicated while dropping pounds. And I'd like to avoid burning through a ton of cash on peptides, haha.

You've come to the right spot. Have you figured out which GLP1 you're planning to go with? When it comes to muscle, protein 😂 loads and loads of protein. A solid combination of gym work and maybe a peptide that helps with muscle growth too. I'm aware I've dropped quite a bit of money on peptides, but going gray is definitely cheaper

I'm way past dipping my toes in at this point—grey is where I've been. Reta's been part of my routine for nearly 2 months now, and the scale shows 25lbs gone. The catch? It drains your wallet fast. On top of that, roughly 4 weeks back I began TRT via a telehealth clinic, and I figure that's a big reason I haven't lost the muscle I came in with. Since around March or April, I've kept up lifting 3-5 days each week, so my eating and training have been solid as of late. The real reason I showed up here: worries about sterility and purity in the grey market, plus—as I mentioned—the cost stacks up before you know it.

The cost varies wildly based on the source you choose for reta. Maybe it's worth exploring group testing as an option.

Yea, the way group testing runs still isn't 100 percent clear to me, and I've not had the time to dig into it properly. Honestly, buying straight from a vendor and footing the testing bill myself would come out cheaper than what I'm forking out now.

Just continue reading! Knowledge is your ally—go through the forums, look at what everyone is saying, their experiences, and what they're up to. If you're still feeling lost, don't rush into anything yet. I probably put in around two months of research, reading everything I could find online on Reddit, discord forums, and eventually I came across this forum, trying to understand how vendors operate, sourcing, dosing, safety…There's so much to learn!! Consider jotting things down and really just take the time to read through these forums—even if you can't ask questions or comment just yet, chances are plenty of people have already asked the same things you're wondering about!

There's still plenty for me to read up on, but does group testing exist as a practice? From what I gather, it means buying in bulk together, sending the batch for testing, and then either holding onto that batch or letting a friend tap into it

Yep, I went with that option too. I'm absolutely planning to handle all the filtering and everything along those lines as well.

Based on what I've read, filtering removes endotoxins, and I'm guessing heavy metals too? Lately I've also been poking around that topic a bit, because if that's the case, then that's probably the route I'll take. There's a clean room with flow hoods that I can use.

Using a filter handles bacteria and contaminants, yet it won't affect endos or heavy metals at all.

That's a relief to hear, haha.

Something worth keeping in mind is the way you decide on a peptide source. Sending products off for your own testing tends to run up quite a bill, so beginning with a seller or 2 that others have already vetted through third-party lab analysis makes sense. When a vendor has demonstrated reliable results for the exact items you want, that track record can help you feel more assured that the label matches what's really inside.

Yeah, I'd keep in mind too that a vendor's product being tested by another person doesn't automatically mean much. In the short time I've been on the forum, what I've picked up is that these guys go through inventory VERY fast, and the way they source from overseas likely has more to do with who can consistently get the product cheaply than with who offers the best quality. Because of that, you don't know how clean it is until you know FOR SURE, and really there's just one way to find out lol. Lab testing it.

The best route is Group Testing. Get going on Telegram, Discord, STG. Glad to have you on the board, and here's hoping everything you're after works out.

You're welcome to kick things off by posting your questions right here in this intro thread. Beyond that, simply reading through other discussions on the forum will teach you plenty without any effort. The key points to remember: always go with hospira bac water, run every pep through a filter, and stick to peps that have readily available group tests.
