Hey everyone, my path into the glp1 world started when I was hunting for something other than compounding pharmacies. One thing led to another, down the rabbit hole I went, and now I'm here. Things are going well so far. I'm 30, based on the East Coast. Weight loss has never come easy for me — I've consistently run and lifted heavy, yet the weight always came back. Phentremine was the one thing that actually worked, but roughly 6 months in, I started getting nasty side effects, mostly depression and angry outbursts. Quitting it cleared up the sides, but then the hunger returned, and the pounds followed.
Before that, I'd gotten glp1s through online compounding pharmacies, and holy fuck are they expensive. Last year I did just 2 months of semaglutide, 4 months of tirzepatide, and 1 month of reta from a US-based online grey market dealer. Tirzepatide gave me a lot of help with fewer side effects. Reta, though, didn't perform as well — near the end of the week I noticed I was putting weight back on and overeating again.
Then I took about a year off before restarting last month.
Right now I'm running a retatrutide + cagrilintide stack.
In a month I've gone from 245lbs down to 233lbs. Still eating healthy and working out like always.
I'll say this: cagrilintide has definitely done more to curb my appetite alongside Reta, but for a day or two after injecting, I'm extremely tired and sleepy. This week I'm bumping up to 4mg of reta (split dose) and 1mg of cagrilintide (split dose).
As I get deeper into this, I've considered maybe moving to eloralintide and Survo, but I'll stay with Reta until I reach the higher doses. Ideally I can cut back the Cag as I climb the Reta doses, and if that doesn't work out, the Cag stays as backup in case it isn't enough.
Stacking tirzepatide with Reta has crossed my mind, but at this point I'd rather wait and watch how my body handles what I'm doing and go from there.
Ordering from some suppliers here was definitely a shock at first, but after sending a vial from each batch for testing, it's gotten easier for me. The goal is to horde at least 2 years of Reta, Tirz, and Sema in case anything goes wrong with the supply chain. I did the math, and even if I never touch the Tirz or Sema, the savings from the Reta alone more than covers it.
That said, I'll say this. If I'd come across this forum a couple years back, it would have saved me a fuck ton of money, and I'd probably be at my target weight of 160lbs.
Injecting myself twice a week to lose weight isn't something I'm fond of, but it beats the alternative of being fat and unhealthy.
Both of my parents were recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and it's known to run on both sides. That scared me straight, and here I am
but I'd rather be at a healthy weight, not diabetic, and have to inject this stuff for life, than the alternative.
I'm looking into buying a deep freezer, but for now I think a 2-3 year supply is the way to go.
But yeah guys, thank you for coming to my TedTalk
and just from being here I've learned way more than I'd imagine.
