I was looking at reta pens as they seem convenient but after looking further into suppliers and such it looks like the "norm" is to constitute the mix yourself.

So i'm looking for guidance on this then...

How do I know how much bac to mix with the reta? does it come with instructions when I buy from supplier?

Ok so i'm doing some research all day lol and it looks like these pen resellers must be making a killing...

SWIM is buying 40mg pens at £160 - This is a pen for 4 months. But, I read these reconstruction mixes are only good for 28 days, so assume this mixture is less effective after this time? And thats even considering it was mixed close to the day of arrival (which I doubt).

I've since looked at purchasing 15mg x 10 vials and reconstructing myself as it looks simple enough.

For experienced users - is it worth just using insulin pens for dosing? I was looking at the reusable pen clickers you could get - any benefits to this? just seems like hassle to transfer from mixture vial to the cartridge for the pen - is there any real benefit?

only con I see with using insulin needles is the wastage of the needles.

Please correct me if im wrong with these numbers because I would like to start this and the calcs have me 2nd guessing myself.

So I start with 15mg x 1.5ml to give me my 10mg/ml mixture. My starting dose is 2.5mg so I get 6 dosages from my mixture - this is 6 weeks.

0.1ml is 10 units on my syringe so 2.5 is 25 units.

is this about the top and bottom of it?

This is still a hell of a lot cheaper then SWIM buying prefilled pens.

A lot of experienced grey Users filter the reconstituted solution into new sterile vial. I do but use a pen cartridge and then load it into a reusable insulin pen. As I already filter it is no more hassle. And as a previous kwikpen Mounjaro user, I use a dilution that is equivalent to a branded dose. each single 0.6ml dose of branded Mounjaro is equivalent to 60 clicks on my pen. Therefore I can work out how many clicks I need for a given dose. There are plenty of threads discussing this if you use the search function. Whichever method you use, make sure you are clear on the maths. Your digestive system will not be forgiving if not.
