Hi, I was on Trizepatide for more than a year when suddenly my insurance cut me off! It made a tremendous impact on my health, I lost over 30 pounds, got off blood pressure meds and overall health improvement.

So I have been off of Tirzepatide for about 4 months now and I have gained much weight and am back on BP Meds again. I have appealed the denial several times with no luck. I just saw my doctor recently and he said I meet all the criteria to get on the Medicare Bridge Program for GLP-1 so my doctor submitted it and I just learned that it got denied again based on prior denial even though I qualify-very frustrating!

About a month ago I bought some Tirzepatide via Facebook from China. I got 10 vials of 5mg each. So far I have done 3 injections 5 days apart instead of a week but I don't notice that its doing anything.

I hope to learn much in this forum

Thanks, Joe

There is much to learn from this forum, but I probably would start by not purchasing anything "injectable" from facebook again. There are many resources available to you here, but do your research and learn from all the mistakes people have made already.

What was your original dose before your insurance cut you off? What's your current dose?

Did you get the Tirz tested (the one you bought from China)? I suspect you may have been sold something fake. My reasoning - Not trying to scare you, but you're the first person I've heard to say they bought through Facebook, and 5mg of Tirz isn't common, at least from what I've seen. The lowest is generally 10mg/vial. Most grey market vendors and suppliers do business through other platforms - definitely not something as public as Facebook.

You'd have to send a vial to a peptide testing lab. There are a couple of well-known ones. I don't want to name the companies here, but if you do a quick search for testing, you'll find the names of those companies on the first page of results.

Thanks, I don't think I will get any more that way,

There are many labs that can test your compounds, some accredited and some not, they all range in price.

Can you recommend one? I still have enough vials to get tested.

Seems a pretty big leap to go from Zepbound to Facebook Grey. Since you are in the US, I suggest you get on r/tirzepatidecompound and look at the pinned "where to buy" from legal US compound pharmacies and get yourself stable again. While you are doing that, start your deep dive on grey research here and on STG. Welcome and good luck!

Zipp - I hope this is not considered source discussion. If you all feel otherwise, please delete.

I just looked at Janoshik.com. it looks like the test is $360 That's an awful lot. Is this about what it costs or are there cheaper testing sites? Thanks

I second Janoshik. Freedom Diagnostics and Vanguard are other reputable labs.

How much have you taken on these 3 injections? You'd need 2 vials per injection to get to your old dose.

I'm not taking my old dose. After being off of it for 3-4 months my doctor told me I should restart again at a lower dose and work up. Currently on 5mg

For you it may be a really low dose now. You will not feel anything from it, very likely

I think you may be right. I started 5mg and got no effect, then I started doing it every 5 days instead of a week. I let the person know that I got it from and they insisted that the trz was good and encouraged me to get it tested and they would give me the next kit free. Maybe 5mg is too small a dose sense I was on 10 mg.

Welcome 🤗

That’s scary that you purchased from FB. I’m glad that nothing bad has happened. Hopefully you’ll start seeing results and get better quality products.

I came to gray while waiting on insurance but by doing so my labs all lowered and brought my a1c down out of diabetic ranges so I got declines for tirz by insurance. Blood pressures came down as well and in the process of coming off 1 soon if it keeps up. I am on reta however. Hopefully you get back to it by being here. Do lots of research. I dont want to speak wrong but ive come across a few posts about people stopping and starting so make sure to look those up and see what you can find to help. Good luck on getting back on track.
