INTRO Time to Get Started…

My wife and I are going to go through this process side by side. Our goal is to absorb whatever knowledge we can so that our weight loss is as effective as possible, and so that our fitness and physique improve. I’m like a dry sponge, ready to soak up any suggestions people offer. Thank you

Also located in FL. Carrying extra weight during summer is miserable.

What's your approach going to be, in terms of compounds? A few years back I ran Sem, dropped a decent amount, put a portion back on, and lost muscle along the way. Reta is on a completely different level.

Hey @capth4u, glad you're here! Definitely look into reta — it's incredibly tough to top, and it ought to be a fantastic aid for dropping that extra weight you're carrying, plus it can lift your overall sense of wellbeing!

Hey there, another Floridian 😁 Yep … Reta is something we only began this week 👍 Once my Mots-C and SS-31 arrive, those will go into the mix too. My spinal fusion was back in 2012, and afterward I put on 50 lbs extra, so my goal is to at least drop that 🤞 What about you ?

Appreciate it, Badsr71…. Reta is something we only began this week, and our hope is to be back in shape by the end of this year 🤞 Fingers crossed it all goes well. I went ahead and bought some from a V here, and I'm hoping they're legit. Either way, I'd like to figure out how to post a review for them. The unfortunate part is how much stress comes with picking someone you can trust, and reviews that are honest really do make it easier for other people to choose with less worry. What's your journey been like?

This has been brutal. The truth is, I only stumbled onto this forum much, much later — before that, I'd built up contacts via other channels, and those eventually pointed me toward some Vs who appear right here on the list! Starting out at 300lbs, I now weigh 213. Roughly 50lbs came off, and around 30ish of those pounds were muscle, lost while I was on semaglutide (which my idiot dr. prescribed). I put in a lot of effort trying to rebuild that muscle, so once I moved over to reta, recomposition came easily.

With CJC/IPA, holding onto muscle and bouncing back a little faster has become really manageable. At 44, my recovery isn't what it was at 15, but the secretagogues have clearly helped.

Glad you are here! Great that the two of you are taking this on as a team! Sounds like you have made a solid start on Reta, SS-31 and MOTS-c. NAD+ is part of my own stack as well.

“It’s time to do this...” — I suspect that captures what a lot of us are thinking. We just want to become our best selves, after delaying it or getting pulled away by all the problems life throws at us. This community clearly holds a wealth of useful experience. Wishing you and your wife the very best as you move forward together!

What has the MOTS-C been like for all of you? A solid amount for trials is headed my way. I'm just finishing up a Tesa/IPA run, it appeared to do something, though I'm not 100% convinced it helped. I went ahead and had IGF-1 checked close to the finish, and for my age I'm sitting right around the middle. So that's likely a positive.

Thanks badsr71 👍 We managed to get some and are hoping they're legit and honest. Last week we kicked things off with 1mg and it felt pretty decent, side effects were minimal. Toward the end of the week I saw our weight loss slow down. Today we went with 1mg once more, plus 1mg of Mots-c. Let's see how this week plays out 🤞 That stuff I grabbed came from tele, though I also picked up some SS31 and additional Reta, and I'm hoping they're legit/honest since I've never tried them before. Getting back in shape can't come soon enough 💪 We're definitely excited. How's your journey treating you?

Also a Florida resident here, and I've been using Reta for 3 weeks. Things have been going really well for me; during week 1 I clearly had more stomach and bathroom activity, which wasn't bad at all, but I could tell my body was shifting. My daily step count usually lands between 14k and 18k, and whether I hit that depends on if I'm walking over to the gym (my IT job keeps me on my feet).

Staying hydrated is a must—I take in about 1 gallon each day—and the way I eat has shifted positively. Vegetables taste better to me these days because I know they'll leave me feeling good. Right now I'm on a cruise during week 3, and I decided to have a "cheat" meal with a regular burger, which I immediately wished I hadn't done; I got nauseous and so on, yet a few hours later and by the following morning I was back to feeling great.

I'm hoping both you and your wife have a really good experience with Reta. Unfortunately, since you're in Tampa, you're a good distance from me, but should you ever come around Fort Lauderdale, feel free to reach out!

Hi everyone, I just joined the site. After a spinal fusion, I put on weight I didn’t want, and now I’m trying to get back into shape. I’d welcome any genuine advice. I’m in the Tampa, Florida area 😁
My suggestion is to treat this community purely as a source for gradually collecting knowledge, and to pair that with YouTube.

It’s great that your wife is joining you on this. Having her alongside will definitely make the process smoother.

Update:

Since April 19th, I've lost 38 lbs and my wife has lost 24 👍 I've still got roughly 30 lbs to go before hitting my ideal weight.

Last week I messed up while dosing the hard R. I gave my wife what was left in the pen vial, so I needed to mix up more. I grabbed 3 vials, believing they were 10mg from a certain vendor's last batch. I put 1ml bac into each one, then combined all 3 into the pen vial the way I normally do. After letting it sit, I came back to dial the dose and use the pen. Right after that, heat rushed to my face and I got light headed. Immediately I thought about the vial mg. I ran to the trash can and checked — sure enough, they were 20mg, not the 10mg I thought I had picked up. I went and told my wife I'd taken a double dose, and she freaked out. I was definitely feeling it … and I'm still feeling it a week later. My usual dose was 4.5mg, but I took 9mg 😳👎 I still have skin sensitivity… a low headache… tiredness and body aches. I'll skip this week's dose and reassess in a week (2 weeks from the double dose). This was such a rookie mistake, and I know better than to skip double-checking. I'm paying for it now, but I hope this helps someone else be a bit more careful so they don't do the same thing.
