Closing in on 50, and my weight has been a fight for the past decade. Obesity runs in my family and I've been through this before. Back in my late 20s I was nearly 300 lbs (and I'm barely 5'10").
My fitness journey really began at 26-27. The 300 film and the Spartans had me hooked. I bought every men's health magazine going, lived on fitness sites, and committed fully to the "300 workout" - essentially cross fit before cross fit existed. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu came next and I shed nearly 100lbs.
ECA featured early on, and a clenbuterol cycle came later - both to break through plateaus, then I stopped. That loss stayed off for more than a decade.
Then, heading into my 40s, illness kept me out of the gym for nearly a year. Every pound returned. I told myself it came off once, so it'll come off again. I was badly wrong.
Injuries then capped what I could do: several ACL tears, a torn Achilles, shoulder trouble, juries, plus arthritis that keeps building. ECA and Clen a second time did nothing.
So here I am once more - just out of another knee surgery (4th on the left, 6th in total) - back on the horse with rehab, chasing a return to shape. I'm 274 lbs today and I'm hoping peptides can lend me an edge on the way back to something like the person I used to be.
Looking forward to joining the discussions and soaking up whatever this community has to offer.
