Hello
I've been using compounded semaglutide for close to 18 months now. At first, things went great — I dropped weight steadily over 6 months, then spent 4 months on a maintenance dose. Then, with no warning, I came down with a severe shingles outbreak. I was stunned, since I'd always assumed shingles was something only people over 50 dealt with. That assumption turned out to be completely wrong.
After the outbreak, I was left with nerve damage, plus weight gain caused by the steroids and other medications prescribed to get the outbreak and inflammation under control. The steroids also threw my hormones into chaos, so I had to begin HRT patches — and I'm still unsure whether those patches interfere with the semaglutide injections.
Once I'd spent 6 months recovering from shingles, I tried again to lose weight, but I haven't been able to shed the pounds or keep them off the way I did the first time. The moment I hit my target and attempt to micro dose, the food noise comes roaring back, and within just a few weeks the weight is piling on again almost immediately.
I suspect I've essentially plateaued on semaglutide. I also started worrying about fat and volume loss in my face, so I introduced Semorelin. I've been taking it for roughly 6 months, and it's been amazing for sleep — I deal with bad insomnia. My schedule is 5 days on, 2 off, and strangely enough, I can't sleep on the 2 days I skip the injection. But now I'm dealing with intense hormonal acne, constipation, and zero additional weight loss.
A Reddit rabbit hole eventually brought me to this community, and now I'm digging into other peptides, hoping to put together a solid regimen that delivers results I can actually maintain. Here's what I'm aiming for, subject to more research:
-Switch from semaglutide to Reta, and create a workout routine plus microdose plan that I can stick with long-term without regaining weight right away
-Find a daily alternative to Semorelin so I can get consistent sleep
-Introduce GHK-CU to support my skin and guard against muscle loss
-Locate something beyond B12 (which I already take every day) that might aid with nerve damage
I'd love to hear any experience or feedback.
