Hello everyone!
My journey with GLP-1 medications started back when Ozempic was prescribed to me for weight loss, well before GLP-1s became a huge trend. I stayed on it for several months, following my doctor's instruction to use and remain at 1mg. Somewhere around month 3 or month 4, a serious adverse effect appeared: stomach paralysis, which left food sitting and decaying in my stomach. I stopped GLP-1s entirely until last week, when I administered my very first Retatrutide dose.
Given how badly things went before, I chose to begin at a low dose and increase slowly. As of today, I have taken my 2nd dose of 0.5 mg of Reta. Things have gone well so far, with no signs of gut paralysis. In fact, I suspect I may be a hyper responder, since even a mere 0.5mg hits me strongly. My appetite is suppressed, and food noise has vanished completely. The initial 2 days were quite rough, and I felt like I could not eat at all.
I stand 5'9 and weigh 116kg, hoping to eventually reach the 75-80kg range
