Hello!

I'm in my 30s and live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Raynaud's, Narcolepsy, MCAD, ADHD, and PTSD. More than 15 years back, before any of my diagnoses existed, I got a lap band. I dropped over 100 lbs with it, yet after a pregnancy every pound came back and then extra on top. For a long stretch I kept no fluid in the band since the sensation bothered me so much. Nearly 10 years afterward, I reached a breaking point and began moving my body more while paying closer attention to better food choices. Even when a food wasn't healthy, I permitted myself 1 bite of whatever I craved, and the pounds fell away—roughly 60 lbs came off fast. After that I hit a plateau lasting more than a year, which is how I ended up on Mounjaro. I stayed with it for a couple of months, then made the switch to Tirzepatide once I no longer wanted to keep paying $1,000 each month.

Tirzepatide has been part of my routine for a couple of years now and I've shed another 40 lbs, but my health declined somewhat across the past year, so I paused it a few times. My lap band came out 7 months ago, and a few months back I was in a serious accident; I needed surgery after breaking my bone into 3 pieces and tearing ligaments. That is how I found this forum: I hoped to recover faster and return to the usual 'me.'

I still have some Tirz on hand and will taper off it while moving to Ret, and I'm also planning to begin Klow, IPA, MOTS-c10.

Excited to keep learning!

Greetings from Iowa. I don’t have Marfan syndrome. A handful of us with connective tissue conditions are in this area.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Welcome! I'm another person with EDS! I don't have an official POTS diagnosis, but I deal with many of the same symptoms too. Wishing you the best as you go through this!

Much appreciated! Same to you

POTS and MCAS over here! Glad to find others dealing with the same things on this platform

Look into low-dose naltrexone (LDN) for what you're dealing with — do a bit more digging on it.

Best of luck!

Nice to meet you, RoseRose!

Thanks, I'll look into that!

Welcome.

LDN tends to be hit or miss. It didn't work for me, but plenty of others in the covid community have had success with it.
