Hi, I'm a 39-year-old guy. For the past 6 months I've been working out without missing a beat. My starting weight was 228 lbs, and I've gotten down to 205 lbs. The problem is that my weight loss appears to have stalled. For roughly 8 weeks now, the scale hasn't moved. I've given a lot of different approaches a shot—adjusting my diet, switching up my workout routine. After browsing here quietly to check out various possibilities, I believe I've made up my mind to go with Reta. Getting to 180 lbs is what I'm aiming for. I'd really like to find others who are in a comparable spot.

If you go through my intro, you'll notice my circumstances are quite close to yours, just a different age. Stay persistent—everything you need can be found around here. Since I'm also just starting out, I'll let those with more experience weigh in.

Hey, that's a big drop you've achieved — well done! I'm pretty fresh to glp1s myself, F56, and I shed 3 kg earlier this year by watching what I ate and exercising, which was seriously tough! In March I began what I believed was reta. I raised the dose gradually, initially felt slightly more hungry and questioned whether it was doing anything. During month 1, no weight came off whatsoever. Then month 2 with a fresh vial — WHAM! Right away, from just 1mg, I noticed appetite suppression plus a throbbing sensation at the back of the roof of my mouth. Over the weeks with that second vial, I had to push myself to eat protein, sleep was difficult, my portions shrank a lot and I dropped 5kg fast. To lessen the insomnia, I split roughly 4mg per week across 4 doses. I began tapering the reta down and introduced a small amount of Tirzepatide, also aiming to curb the insomnia. I found myself more repulsed by particular textures and items such as sequins, fish scales and certain fabrics. I also used very small amounts of cjc/IPA no dac, which improved sleep a lot, though I don't want to stay on it forever. The following 2 reta vials appear less potent ..... For more than a month my weight has barely budged even though I've been eating carefully, and I'd definitely have expected to be in a deficit. Maybe half a kilo gone. Honestly, I'm near my target weight and didn't have much to shed, but food noise was a relentless fight and was at crazy levels before glps, so maybe I'm roughly where I should be. Sleep's been fine, resting heart rate has come down a touch. .....Could it be that not all Reta is the same? I've put in an order for some Calingiritide, hoping that adding a very small amount might curb appetite without messing with sleep as much.

Fingers crossed the next reta vial I use turns out to be a good one 🤞

Wishing you the very best on your journey

Glad you're here — I'm in the same rookie boat as you, haha

It could be that your body has shifted into a recomp stage. Did you document your progress with photos along the way? I began Reta close to 2 months back and have already dropped roughly 15kg. It's been incredibly effective in my case, and fortunately I've avoided the rough side effects that others seem to deal with!

Assuming you are still completely Natty, give yourself a week away from the diet where you just eat normally. Then hop back onto it the following week. To me your metabolism sounds stuck.
