Hi everybody. My insurance turned me down for the name brand, so I've been using compound for several months now. Curiosity is just part of who I am, and I began r3adin everything I could find about the previously unknown world of compound meds. That curiosity eventually brought me here to this forum. I'll be honest, at first it feels a little overwhelming and intimidating. Even just getting my head around how the crypto process works takes a lot, but the whole thing is so fascinating that I keep returning to read more. After lurking for a few weeks, I decided it was time to step up my game and register on thw forum....lol. In any case, glad to on part of the comminty.

Welcome aboard! Having to fight with insurance companies is maddening — they act like they hold medical degrees. What a farce! Thank goodness there's a place like this where we can look after ourselves and tap into tons of solid knowledge.

For me, the sheer amount of information, the crypto side of things, and all the learning involved are a huge draw. It's a genuine self-improvement pastime. Have fun and best of luck!

Heyy 👋! Yet another quiet reader has cracked, just like me. Things have gone really well for me up to now, and I bet you'll have the same outcome. Wishing you all the best!

Viewing it like a hobby is a solid angle. I'm going to attempt to take on that mindset!

all this talk of restrictions leaves me spinning, yet i do want to improve my life 🙁

have you come across the brain rewiring
They definitely keep a strict ship when it comes to what gets posted, though I suppose I get it—erring on the side of caution beats the alternative.

Nope, that one's not familiar to me....not when it comes to this subject, anyway.

I think I covered the brain re-wiring elsewhere, but let me spell out what's really happening. Every GLP (sema, tirza, reta) targets the hunger dopamine receptors. Hunger gets suppressed, and along with it other dopamine triggers go down too: alcohol, nicotine, drugs, sex, gambling, etc. In short, at moderate doses most inhibitions drop. This isn't permanent — at 6mg/week my libido is returning. If you're obese, don't let that put you off, because it will be worth it in the end.

I'd come across folks saying it reduced their desire for alcohol somewhat. Luckily that was never my problem—food has always been my main weakness. I've carried extra weight since I was 12 at the latest (that's over 4 decades, if you're tallying). This drug amazes me; the way it simply dialed down my hunger felt absolutely miraculous. If it can help me get my weight under control, I'm fine with a drop in those other areas you brought up. Honestly, the only one that would hit me hard is libido, and after 25 years of marriage, it's not like I was getting busy every night before the meds! Lol

Appreciate the info, I'll keep an eye out for this from now on.

Male here — tirz has been part of my routine for 12 months, and my sex drive is still quite low. To address it, my physician prescribed clomiphene alongside exemestane, and I've cycled through a bunch of supplements too: zinc, gingko, black maca, and ashwagandha. It's been roughly 7 months since I was last overweight, and I hit the weights 3x/week without missing.

Whether tirz deserves much of the blame is unclear, because this problem was already getting worse before I ever began tirz. Still, I'm beginning to doubt anything will fix it. My total T reads high, yet free T sits at borderline low, so TRT feels like the nuclear option — I'm delaying it for now in case we decide to have another child. Good to hear yours eventually began clearing up by itself, though.

I suppose if there's something that might bring it down, that would be great — but in my case, my appetite has been going up lately 🙁
