Hello everyone!

The peptide space is somewhere I've been for more than a year now. This forum was the first place I came across on that journey, and it eventually led me on to other communities - so I figured it was time to return and actually try to contribute.

Reta, GH, NAD, BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu are all things I have hands-on experience with.

My pep journey began in June 2026 with RT. Nothing else has had such a profound effect on my overall health and physique. There wasn't much weight to lose in my case: I started at 200lbs and hit my goal of 180 within 3 months. After reaching that goal I kept running RT, for a few reasons. Beyond the weight loss, the benefits have been excellent - binge eating has stopped, my alcohol consumption dropped drastically, and my lipids improved significantly. And being a gym rat, I was curious whether RT could help in an intentional weight-gaining phase by limiting how much fat gets added.

The experiment started in Nov 2025. A baseline DEXA scan to measure body composition came first. 4 months on I did a follow-up scan, and these are the results. Close to 10lbs of lean tissue gained with minimal fat added, and my body fat % actually fell across those 4 months - even though my weight went up!

One caveat that does muddy this test somewhat - entirely my own fault - is that GH entered the picture in January 2026. So how much each compound contributed is hard to pin down, though my guess is that both helped a great deal.

GH has treated me well too. Sleep improved, workout recovery improved, and my hair, skin and nails are better. It also gives my frame a subtle water/fullness that looks good.

The bloodwork side is probably my main focus at the moment. Markers have been tracked closely across this past year. As mentioned above, lipids are where the biggest shift happened. Here's how my LDL has moved since I began.

Health markers, different peptides, biology in general - this past year has taught me an enormous amount, and communities like this one are the reason.

Thank you all, and I look forward to connecting!

This makes me so happy for you! And the details help all of us. Excellent research!

Man, what fantastic outcomes! It's wild how drastically your lipid numbers shifted. It's great to see hard data that backs up what the peptides and lifestyle adjustments can do!

I'm just starting out with peps, so I won't act like I understand what any of those numbers are about — but nice work!! This was a really helpful post 😊

I want to have a Dexa scan done. Would I need to request this from my doctor?

My understanding is that a referral can be requested from your doctor. That said, they typically only provide one when bone health is the concern. My own route was BodySpec, a company that sells directly to consumers. To avoid dealing with a referral, I covered the cost myself. The price came to $50.

Appreciate it, dude! For sure — I geek out on data, so having the numbers laid out in front of me plays a big role in my peptide journey.
