I'm super happy to begin my GLP-1 journey as an obese grandma who wants to stick around for many more years! A family member referred me here and I'm so glad he did. Really grateful that these wonderful GLP peptides are available now, not just for me, but for other family members. Obesity steadily destroys health, organs and has affected my happiness as well. I never had a weight problem, even after childbearing, until after age 50. Active all my life and watching my diet, that no longer kept the weight at bay after I retired. So many processed foods now, depleted soils, everyday stressors, I need help! My grown kids and other family members have benefited so much from these peptides that I'm all in to learn more, be inspired and get going on my own GLP-1 journey!

Welcome. Glad to see that you want to find out more. One of the best things I have done is to learn a ton of basic nutritional knowledge. Ideas that I would have dismissed 5 years ago are suddenly not only important to me, that knowledge is making a huge improvement to my life.

Exactly, clean up your nutrition now to mimic a GLP friendly diet and start some basic exercise 3-5 times per week. This stuff will stress your system initially and it's important to be in some kind of shape before starting. Also, blood work multiple times per year!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! While I have been eating more clean in the last few years, I need to make a quantum leap in that regard. You are what you eat and the years have crept by without my taking hold of the reins. I have always taken supplements that needed to be taken to address age related deficiencies but that is certainly not enough or I wouldn't be here! Thanks again!

Thank you! I don't want to play "catch up!" Great advice, hadn't thought yet about blood work. I'm learning fast here!

There is a post on this forum about getting bloodwork if your insurance won't cover it. The thread talks about several options. I have personally used goodlabs to book and pay for the labs, got my blood drawn locally at quest, and was very satisfied about the entire process.

I hear you! A big part of the reason I started on this new (for me) journey is so that I can be around for my family for as long as possible. Proud of you for looking for a healthy way forward!

Welcome! It’s wonderful that you’re taking this step and thinking about your long-term health. Sounds like you’ve got a great support system in the family too. Wishing you the best on your GLP-1 journey and hope you find plenty of useful information here!
