Hello from South-Central Kansas!
Desperation is what pushed me toward a GLP-1 from a peptide company back in 2023. Autoimmune issues have shaped my life for years and made my quality of life genuinely poor. Back then the notion that GLP-1s might help autoimmune or inflammatory conditions was barely a whisper; weight loss was all anyone talked about.
Traditional routes were closed to me. Weight-loss prescriptions weren't something I qualified for, insurance wouldn't cover it, and what most doctors quoted simply wasn't realistic for me over the long term. So I took a risk and went a different way.
What followed genuinely changed everything. My CRP had been in the 200s and fell to under 5, the first time that had happened in my adult life. And beyond the labs: chronic pain, exhaustion, inflammation, digestion, eczema/psoriasis, brain fog and energy levels all improved across the board. It felt like I had my life back.
Then early in 2025 access to what had been working began slipping away. Something clearly changed, though I'm not sure what — it stopped being effective from the company I'd been ordering from. A few other options followed, and either they did nothing at all or brought really unpleasant side effects. Even the original source was tried again, and it was no longer offered.
After months of that, I stopped altogether. Continuing to experiment didn't feel comfortable, and over time the autoimmune symptoms have slowly crept back in. Pain, fatigue and inflammation are returning, and it's been really discouraging.
Researching again recently is how I found this forum, and for the first time in a while I feel hopeful. Learning from others here, and connecting with people who understand this experience, is something I'm really looking forward to.
