Hey all!

For roughly the last 1-2 months I've been digging into Reta, and tonight I took my very first micro dose (.5mg). Excited about where this weight loss path and better health can lead. My goal is to shed around 40 lbs by eating cleaner and lifting weights. I want to learn how reta might mess with addictive behaviors and make my day-to-day life better.

I'm not sure what kinds of addictive behaviors you mean, but when it comes to food addiction, Reta will definitely be a big help—I can speak from my own experience. Of course, you'll still need to address your surroundings, your discipline, and everything else that comes with trying to break an addiction, but this compound is certainly a major support.

Also, if the food noise becomes overwhelming during your weight loss journey and your body is already having a hard time with the Reta dosage you're on, rather than repeatedly increasing the dose, consider adding tirz or switching to it in your protocol—its hunger suppression effect is notably stronger.

Being cautious at the beginning makes sense. My weekly dose has stayed at or under 1.5mg, and the outcomes have left me very pleased.

That 0.5mg dose is as low as it gets. Curious what your plan looks like across 12 weeks?

My plan: 0.5mg each week through weeks 1-3 or 1-4, then bump to 1mg for another 2-4 weeks. No rush — I don't intend to exceed 2mg/week right now. Training-wise, I'll be lifting heavy 3-4x weekly, logging every meal, and making sure I get at least 200g protein daily. Naturally I rack up about 11k steps a day, and I'll add even more movement on top of that.

From what I've read, it can reduce the pull toward alcohol and cannabis. I'm not much of a drinker, and cannabis isn't really an issue for me apart from late-night munchies.

Thanks for all the encouragement and knowledge!

Can’t wait to do my next pin when the week wraps up—funny, given how much I dislike the syringe 😅. Pretty sure the needle anxiety has already faded. I’ve been stepping on the scale every day, though I chalk the drop up to walking more and tightening up my eating. Evening hunger pangs definitely feel much weaker, and sugar doesn’t have that addictive pull anymore. I picked up a kit from a vendor other than the one I used for my first order, just to make sure I’ve got enough on hand.

Week 1: 3.6 lbs lost. My diet was partly clean, though I had fast food twice. (Trying to reduce that; the positive part was that I didn’t like it. Reta appears to have lowered how much I enjoy eating, and I no longer grab evening snacks just from habit.)

Still on .5mg, lifting weights 3x per week

Glad to have you here, Bucky! I'm also doing Reta for the same purpose. My experience has been positive — only issue was dry mouth during the initial 2 weeks, haha.

Hey there. Two weeks in at 1mg for me. The food noise has dropped a lot, and hunger suppression is pretty light, so I can still get down what I need for my gym targets and such, yet food isn't on my mind between meals. Really enjoying it up to now. Best of luck

Your approach is a bit more cautious than mine, though my plan is along the same lines. Week 1 was 0.5mg, then yesterday I moved to 1mg, next week I intend to go to 1.5mg, and after that I'll settle at 2mg. My body fat is already under 10%, and I'm essentially running a mock bodybuilding prep for my honeymoon lol, but what interests me more is how this affects insulin sensitivity and whether my lipids shift at all. Once the honeymoon is over, I might raise the dose to 3mg and bring in some MOTS-C while I gradually raise calories each week, to see whether that helps me dodge a rebound. Previously I gained weight too fast because I didn't ramp calories up slowly, so this time I'm trying to avoid that.

Up to this point, no dry mouth or dehydration has hit me. Since I’m on creatine too, I’d been curious whether that might happen.

Last night marked the start of week 3, and I bumped up to .5mg. The scale shows a drop of a little more than 4 lbs. Appetite is definitely being suppressed, and I haven't run into any bad side effects.

Wrapped up week 3 with 5.5 lbs gone, and my lifts in the gym keep going up in a big way. Week 4, here I come!
