Hey all, I've been reading along quietly on here for a few months. Picked up plenty (and I'm still trying to pick up more), and today I finally hit join.

The tipping point was wanting to react to something somebody posted and realising I'd never actually bothered to register 😂

My rat and I began our research one week back, and he took his second Tirz shot today. That second one seemed to trigger a vasovagal response, which the first didn't. Beyond that, nothing to report so far other than him turning his nose up at food all day and never wanting a big portion. Exactly what I'd hoped for. And far quicker than I'd anticipated.

Seems like effects are showing up quite fast, and that does happen with some folks. Having hunger cues change this soon tends to signal it's working as intended.

About that vasovagal-type reaction — it's possible, particularly in the beginning. At times it isn't the compound at all, but rather factors such as:

  • taking the shot while fasted
  • not enough fluids
  • anxiety about the whole thing
Typically it eases off as the routine becomes familiar, though it's worth watching.

All in all, this looks like a fairly standard early reaction so far.

My 1st injection wasn't done on an empty stomach, and the same goes for yesterday 🤔 it never even crossed my mind. Thanks!
