Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone here is doing well.

To open, thank you for the welcome, and for encouraging new members to share.

I’ve been through the posting guidelines, so with any luck nothing here steps out of line.

Okay…

Bed is where I’m typing this from - and where, since an accident in May 2025, more of the last year
has been spent than I care to admit.

Both of my fairly active jobs have stayed afloat, which leaves a lot of weekends given over to
recovering, and to missing out on things I used to enjoy.

Brilliant specialists and physiotherapists have been part of this, and progress has been made, just
short of what I’d hoped for.

This past year has also gone into reading up on PRP injections, for recovery and for strengthening
connective tissues, and I’ve met some speed bumps. Mostly due to the experimental nature of some of
these treatments, and the costs associated with overseas practitioners that often exceed 70k.

Which raises the question - why am I here?

Two things brought me to this forum.

The first concerns connective tissue healing by way of targeted GLP-1 therapies.

Some initial research has been done, but due to the restrictions and limited studies available,
forums became the obvious place to look, and this one seemed like a great resource.

Second, moving and exercising far less has put a bit of weight on. Understandable, and yet difficult
to adjust to - so rather than beat myself up, I’m here to learn how to manage it better and give
myself a better chance at recovery.

Friends and family have had positive experiences with these, but I have never used any GLP-1, and
I’m keen to hear from people who can share experiences like what works/ what doesn’t etc.

And that’s the story so far.

Any advice anyone has, or whatever else you think might be helpful, I’m all ears.

Equally, if my research regarding GLP-1 and treating weakened or damaged tissues interests anyone,
I’m happy to pass those insights on once I’ve understood the landscape here a bit more.

Thanks for reading my autobiographical rant. My hope is that by this time next month, I will have a
better idea on how to move forward with my life, and get back on track before becoming a miserable
bastard.

Cheers
