Hi all, I'll do my best to condense everything. I've been a big guy my entire life, at one point hitting 350lbs. Around 10yrs back, after becoming a dad, I chose to get healthy. I went hard at it and in just over a year I got down to 197lbs through tons of cardio, lifting, meal prepping and so on. I held that for a bit, but after that I've repeatedly regained everything and shed some again, cycling through skinny phases, muscle phases, and back to fat. I have photos from every one of those transformations. It's been a brutal loop ever since. My weak point has always been hunger—I can clear out an entire fridge without issue. I often figured I ought to see a psychologist, maybe it's mental. Anyway, a year ago a coworker had some semaglutide (grey market), so I gave it a shot. For the first time ever, my appetite and hunger were completely gone—I'd never experienced that! I lost 40lbs in 3months, but I felt extremely flat, almost depressed. I learned that's called anhedonia, and the constipation was unbearable, so I had to stop. Of course the weight came back. So I dug deeper into the glp world and discovered Reta. I tried it and tolerated it much better, losing 60lbs in the first 90 days. I do intermittent fasting, keep protein high, moderate fats, and cycle carbs. My job involves lots of walking, so that's how I get cardio.

Glad to have you! Honestly, plenty of us around here can relate. Reading what you wrote, it's almost like looking in a mirror for me. Once I gave tirzepatide a shot, it showed me something completely new. That endless cycle of putting weight on and taking it off finally seems finished. Whatever pep fits you best, plus everything else along the way, folks here will help you track it down.

I appreciate that — the road here was long. GLP medications have made a real difference in my life. I found this forum by chance after 2 CN vendors did me wrong.

Binge eating disorder has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and Trizep (Zepbound) is the only medication that has ever made a difference for me. So when my insurance provider changed its preferred drugs over to Sema (Wegovy), I was crushed. My body simply did not respond to it the way it did to the other. That is what led me to compounding pharmacies in order to get Trizepatide back in my hands. Even through them, though, I am noticing it has become more difficult to receive the medications on schedule. Once I learned about the peptides/reta world, I was 100% on board. Since I work in the healthcare field in America, I unfortunately have direct knowledge that insurance companies control not just healthcare but medication pricing as well. So the moment I understood another route existed, my curiosity was seriously sparked. I am thrilled to go on this journey alongside all of you!

I fit the mold of the traditional yo-yo dieter perfectly. Over the past 20 years, my weight has gone up and down so many times that it makes me sick to think about it. At some point, I just gave up on taking pictures. Every round of intermittent fasting I tried ultimately felt pointless, because I would always save the weekends as a reward period for staying disciplined during the week, and I would frequently have a treat at night on weekdays too (another reward). I began Reta 2 months ago, and this is the first time the food reward phase has been removed. Now I eat smaller meals, and the rewards come when I step on the scales. Your photos are proof of success. 60 lbs is incredible. My weight loss has been slower, but overall I am happier than I have been in years.

Nice work on what you've been doing!

Medically prescribed diets have been part of my life since age 3, and I'd say I count among the people modern medicine hasn't been able to help. I have some Reta on the way, and I'm hoping it gets me to my goal weight

Weekend binges were the thing that wrecked my progress without fail! I honestly figured I'd never get that under control.
