After a year on trizepatide, I’m down 50lbs. Now I want to change things up: shed a few more lb’s, then keep the weight off with Reta while staying budget-friendly. Glad to join—I’m here to listen and learn.

Glad you joined the forum. There’s plenty of material to go through here! Wishing you success with your change!

Hey there and welcome! I'm on tirz too, and it completely turned my life around! What made you want to make the switch to reta?

Hi there — in my experience GLP1Chat stands out as the community with the deepest knowledge and widest reach, and it's far less judgmental than Reddit by a long shot; the posts come from real users and are thorough and genuinely useful.

There's also this incentive: if everyone participates honestly and tries to help, the "no source" tag gets taken off our profiles — and in my view that ends up being incredibly valuable for a medication Lilly sees as its "first trillion dollar drug" 😉.

My own history: Tirzepatide for 1 year 9mos. During my best stretch I dropped 61 lbs over 12 mos. I'm a 50 yo male, 6'0, began 7/2024 at 242.4, wrapped up roughly a month ago at 192, and my last Tirz dose was 12mg. After that I moved over to Reta: 1mg for 2 weeks to start, then 2mg for a week, and at this point I'm at 4mg / week. It was only once I hit 4mg that appetite suppression felt genuinely real to me.

When the Tirz had completely titrated out, 1mg of Reta was like taking nothing, though I did see visceral fat loss around my midsection, which is great. At 4mg I get the best of both worlds — with my next shot only hours away, staying in a calorie deficit is zero problem 🙏🤯

So, after seeing the phase 3 trial results Lilly posted, I went ahead and ordered 3 more vials of Reta. And I placed that order while 3 full vials of 72mg Tirz are still sitting in my fridge. That's how significant Reta is.
