Just joined and I'm looking forward to drawing on the wealth of experience people share here.

I'm a 56-year-old guy. At 6’1” I hit 335lbs, and that path led me into diabetes. That was the jolt I needed — though you'd think 335 lbs alone would have done it 🙂). Starting the very next day, I flipped everything around. Dropped carbs (I was a massive cereal and pasta guy), improved my sleep, and in time got a prescription for GLP2s (5mg), which brought me down 50 lbs across the past year and half. Then I changed jobs, which meant new insurance (Aetna), and they decided 285 lbs at a 28.7 BMI wasn't overweight enough to keep covering GLP2. Go figure. Apparently sitting 50-70 lbs above my ideal BMI weight doesn't count. 🙂. So I took the research route and moved to retatrutide (because there is no such thing as "retatrutide (because there is no such thing as "GLP-3")") (6mg spot dosing) roughly 5 weeks back, and I'm already down about 8 lbs. I ran all my labs again, and the recommendation is to add Tesa (plenty of visceral belly fat) and Mots-c (high fasting insulin) alongside the Reta.

Looking forward to picking up more and grateful for any input.
