Just a dad trying to shed 100lbs so I can stay active with my kids, who are big into sports and the outdoors. I've been using Tirz for 3 months through a doctor's Rx, but the cost keeps climbing, which is how I ended up here. I've dropped 25lbs so far, meaning I'm 25% of the way toward my target! It's been a great experience up to now, so I'm curious to learn how to maintain once I hit my goal. I'd also like to get back into weightlifting and running, so down the road I want to explore other peptides that might help with recovery. Hopefully I can run a marathon next year!

Nice work on your progress! I'm also pretty fresh to this whole thing, and once I found out about the gray market, it felt like discovering an entirely different universe .

I'm in the same boat. Around 5 years back, I began TRT plus weight training, and my weight went from 298 down to 234. Once we had a baby and I was always lowering myself to the floor to play with him as he got bigger, it was an absolute battle, and that's what finally pushed me to get serious. Nice work on the recent progress, and I hope you keep going!

Wishing you the best as you get started. You can definitely save a significant amount of money going this route, though there are plenty of traps to watch out for. My advice would be to take your time, absorb as much information as possible.

Use the search function—it'll help you a lot!

Congrats! I made the Tirz to Reta switch and I'm glad I did, the results are a lot better for me
After doing some research on Reta, I'm looking forward to when it receives FDA approval. Tirz is doing the job right now, so I'll stay with it for the time being, though Reta could be something I try later on.

Appreciate it, and best of luck on your side as well! My kids are 6 and 8 at this point, and they can outrun me. With any luck, before the year is over I'll be able to match their pace!

Nice beginning! My own initial big loss came about for much the same reasons, though once I got past the first 70 I stalled out. It's going to be quite a ride at last reaching the end goal.

Welcome, I'm also just getting started here. What I've picked up so far is that you should study the material and make sure you grasp as much as possible. Another thing I've realized is that vendors won't ever reach out to you first. Congrats, and best of luck on your journey.

How do the two mainly differ? And what dosing applies to each?
When it comes to suppressing appetite, Tirz has a small edge, yet Reta gives me improved well-being and outcomes.

Hey there, and welcome aboard! I'm in the same boat with tirz. Insurance won't touch the brand-name stuff, and it's crazy pricey, so I moved to 503A/B compounders for something cheaper, and now I'm starting to explore the grey side too. At first, my plan was to stockpile a solid stash of tirz, but because I've already got a year's supply of compounded on hand, I'm digging deep into Reta. Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet, just absorbing everything....and like you'll soon see, there's a ton to take in!

Most people end up stumbling into the gray market through much the same path, but once cost and supply stop being obstacles, a whole new set of options appears — all while you concentrate on improving your own life and being more present for the people you care about! Welcome!

From my own honest perspective, going low carb is the option most likely to work for you. That is, if you're able to stick with it. When hunger becomes simply too much to handle, then sticking with the Tirz is probably the best route available. My goal was a 60 lbs loss. Just through low carb, 22 lbs came off. After that it plateaued, which is when I brought in the Tirz. Even 2.5 was more than I could handle, so I dropped to 1.5. In under 3 weeks on it I've shed another 2-3 lbs, though I'm still eating low carb. So I'm aware that the remaining 35 lbs will be a hard fight, particularly since it's nearly all visceral fat.

Should Tirz not be an option for you, for any reason, a few grey market options exist to experiment with. MOTS-c and Ipamorelin might be two candidates to consider. That said, peptides in the 'norelin' family generally run pricier than Tirz, Tesamorelin in particular.

And of course Reta remains an option, though it too is costly and will probably vanish before long, given it's nearly finished phase 3 trials.

icedcoffeemaker, glad you found this place. Dropping 25lbs over 3 months is no small feat — stay consistent.

When you're ready to take that step, Reta deserves a spot on your shortlist. What sets it apart from Tirz is that it also acts on the glucagon receptor, alongside GLP-1 and GIP. That extra pathway is the reason it tends to produce more visceral fat reduction and a higher resting energy burn. Tirz is gentler in the beginning, so there's no reason to rush a change if things are going well — though few who switch end up going back.

For recovery down the line, TB-500 and BPC-157 are the usual entry point for joints and tissue repair. TB-500 works systemically from the start, while BPC-157 stays closer to the injection site. Stacking them one after the other usually yields better outcomes than starting both simultaneously. Worth reading up on before you return to heavy lifting.

This is a solid community — plenty of folks who've walked the same path. Take your time, absorb as much as you can, and hold off on buying until you feel informed.

Appreciate it! My prescription should last me roughly another 2 months, so I've got time to dig into things before I actually buy anything. That BPC + TB stack caught my eye, and GHK-Cu too since I want help with skin-related stuff — so those 3 are likely what I'll ease into first, one at a time.
