Hi everyone. The product I've been using was sold to me as Reta, though I have no real way of knowing what's actually in it. It's possible glps just don't do anything for me — I've worked up to 8mg per week and the sole thing I notice is heartburn, lol. My titration was gradual and done the right way, and side effects were basically absent the whole time. Eating whatever I want is still easy. Getting full slightly sooner might be happening? Either way, no weight has come off. My composition has improved, but that's simply the same trend that was already underway before I touched the Reta. Alongside it I do 1mg of tesa every day, which has genuinely supported my muscle growth across the last 5 months. I also cycle off it. Semaglutide was something I tried a couple years back and it appeared to do nothing for me as well. I'm not sure where to go from here. Could it be that my eating is a mental addiction? Oddly, ever since I raised my Reta dose, my sugar cravings seem stronger — strange, since savory has always been my preference. Any thoughts would be welcome!

Hey Fullmelt, good to have you with us 👊

One thought, going by what you described…

To start with, sitting at 8mg/week without much appetite suppression means there's a genuine possibility that your vial isn't Reta at all (or that it's underdosed). Even the folks who respond poorly tend to notice something by that stage, subtle as it may be at first.

Plenty of helpful people around in this group; I'm confident somebody with more knowledge than me will jump in and assist!

Best,

Have you confirmed that your supplier is legit, whether by checking community forums or using testing services? AI has its limits, but with enough guidance it can dig into a source, surface details about a company and its feedback, and find forum discussions about it, and so on. Best of luck

Getting bloodwork done could be a good idea, just to confirm you weren't on something really strange.

That's a fair point. Testing your Reta is something you should seriously look into — or, if there's just a vial or 2 left, set those aside, source it from another place, and test that instead.

All of this holds true provided there aren't any underlying health problems on your end making things worse. Just my 2 cents. Do your research and best of luck!
