Hi everyone! I'm in my mid-20s. Carried roughly 50 lbs of extra weight for as long as I can remember. Keto, fasting, low-carb, vegetarian, weights, cardio — I've tried the lot, and each one worked....for a while. The same 20 lbs have come and gone over 15 years (and yes, the dieting started when I was eleven).

First Retatrutide dose went in a few days ago, and it's been a game-changer. Losing 10 lbs has never been this easy! And I'm not starving the way I normally am.

Fingers crossed it holds. Glad to be part of this place!

Glad it's been effective in your case — how much time passed before you dropped those 10#?

Welcome in! And truthfully… your story is going to strike a chord with plenty of folks around here.

That loop of shedding the same 20 lbs again and again — particularly when it starts at such a young age — can wear you down. Hearing that each approach "worked… for a while" is a pretty common theme in this space.

What you're already picking up on with Reta — the absence of round-the-clock hunger and it feeling less difficult — that's the major change for most people. It goes beyond dropping pounds; it's that the whole thing stops feeling like an endless struggle.

And 10 lbs coming off that fast in the early stretch isn't out of the ordinary, so don't be caught off guard if it levels out to a more even rhythm — that's expected and really a positive indicator.

You've made a strong beginning, and even more importantly, it sounds like this could be the first time anything has felt sustainable.

Happy to have you here — please do keep us posted on how it's going. 💪

Just 5 days in, so it's likely water weight for the most part.

I began at 180 and I'm now at 170. My dose was 2.5mg.

Could be water retention, could be something else… If you don't mind me asking, were inflammation problems something you dealt with? During weeks when my inflammation dropped a lot, my weight appeared to drop quickly too. For example, between week 11 and week 12, my inflammation went down massively (that was 3 weeks after bumping up my dose), and I dropped 4.8 lbs. On average I normally drop 1.8 lbs weekly, and the jumps after increasing a dose tend to be about 3.5 lbs.

I can't say for certain that less inflammation equals more weight loss, but… it sure is a nice way to shed pounds, isn't it?

Have you considered stacking Cagrilintide with Reta? I've been running a 4:1 ratio. Right now that means 2 mg Reta plus 500 mcg cagri. I typically use it to top up my "main" GLP/GIP dose of tirz, which is 7 mg. Since tirz and Reta both have 5 day half lives, I noticed I'd hit a rough patch by the end of the week. Cagri sticks around longer, somewhere between 7 and 8 days, which is why my dose of it is much lower. Overall, I take Tirz on Fridays and Reta/Cagri on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Anyway, glad to have you here, and I'm eager to hear more about how things go for you!

It makes me happy that you're here with us. After reading what you shared, I really respect how you kept going through all those years of testing one method after another. And it's truly great that Retatrutide has brought you some ease and forward motion — dropping 10 pounds while not being hungry all the time is a real accomplishment. This community exists to cheer on that kind of progress, swap useful advice, and stand with you when things go well and when they don't. So please let us know how you're doing and which things are helping.

That's fantastic! Dropping 15# within 1 month would already be impressive. You're clearly off to a strong beginning — congrats.

Hey, I get exactly where you're coming from. There was a time in my life when my metabolism seemed impossible to pin down, and neither diet nor exercise could get me past a plateau. I'm hoping this forum will be a big help to you.

I've only been on retatrutide for just about 3 weeks, and this morning I was thrilled to see I'd dropped 10 lb since last week, which puts me at roughly 16lb total since starting it. When my waist felt a little less fat, I figured I was imagining it, but I worked up the nerve to step on my scale, and it turned out I wasn't just feeling things. Welcome!

How can I actually tell that my inflammation has gone down? I'm not sure. That said, my acne and migraines have improved, so maybe there was inflammation and now it's reduced.

I've also started researching other peptides. My plan is to hold off on those until I'm further along, in case I end up developing a tolerance to Reta. Burning through them right away could leave me with nothing left to try. Whether it truly works that way, I don't know, but in my head it adds up.

That approach makes sense, no question! Age matters a lot here, along with whatever health conditions you already have. Say you're 20-something with no real health problems — then nearly every non-GLP peptide (GHK-CU or GLOW might be exceptions) will probably disappoint you and feel like money down the drain. But if you're past 30, have run some blood labs, and your GH levels look a touch low? Then for someone in my position, who isn't prepared to start anabolics or TRT, a CJC-1295 (no-DAC) plus Ipamorelin blend at a 1:1 ratio works really well. Once I finished my first full cycle, my levels had risen to slightly above the midpoint of the normal range.

Peptides that support cognition have really grabbed my attention lately. NAD+ for instance, won't accomplish much for younger folks or anyone who isn't deficient in it — but in my case, using it alongside oral NR/NMN and TMG cleared away a huge amount of brain fog and tiredness.

Before anything else, I'd start by incorporating more fiber into what you eat.
