Hey everyone,

I guess it's about time I said hello. For basically my whole life, food has had a hold on me that honestly feels like an addiction. It isn't simply hunger — there's this relentless pull to eat even when I'm fully aware I shouldn't, and that's made staying consistent really hard.

A little while back I gave Reta a shot from an online site, mostly just to find out whether it would change anything, and the difference has been massive. That nonstop urge has at last gone quiet, and for the first time it feels like something I can handle rather than something running my life.

At this point I'm beginning to explore sourcing on my own and handling things more independently. I'm still learning, so I'm here to soak up whatever knowledge I can and find out what has worked for other people.

Thanks for any insight you're willing to pass along.

I’m also someone who’s always hungry. Week 3 starts for me now. For appetite control, splitting the dose across several days each week works better in my case, though once more of it accumulates in my body, I can stretch the time between doses.

230lb male.

At the beginning, I split 0.5mg into four shots during week 1. Then 3 days later I took 1mg, and 4 days after that (tonight) another 1mg. The appetite suppression really kicked in and began lasting longer once I hit that first milligram.

I also found out that a single sitting only lets you absorb 30-50g of protein, so my eating routine had to change and I now break my large dinner into several smaller meals. A big dinner helps me sleep. The reta made me give up caffeine, but my sleep has always been poor and it improved gradually.

Minor side effects I’ve seen: my sense of smell is different, my skin is more sensitive, and my focus and concentration are better.

make sure you still eat carbs! I’ve been having fruit all day, a banana or an apple every 1-2 hours, some protein earlier, and then plenty of protein late at night. Naturally I should burn 2500 calories or more daily, so I’ve kept my intake below 2000 per day, lower if possible, with roughly 100g of protein, give or take a little.

I began on March 8th, standing 6ft and weighing 265lbs, using 1mg injected each Sunday. During week two I moved to 2mg, then week 3mg, and for week 4 I stayed at 3mg since spring break was happening and I didn't want any side effects while away on vacation. That said, I also switched to a different source and I'm still feeling hungry almost the whole time. Because of that, I can't tell whether the problem came from the source or from my body getting accustomed to it. Currently I'm down to 255lbs.

Have you used anything besides Reta, such as Tirz? I'd like to know how you'd compare the noise, if there is any difference.

My appetite never seems to switch off. That said, I suspect a big part of it comes down to comfort: eating is what I reach for whenever anxiety kicks in. From what I've come across, Tirzepatide handles food noise better than Reta does. The three receptor angle is what draws me toward Reta, though. There was a thread I noticed not long ago about micro dosing the two alongside each other — I'll have to track it down and revisit it.

The sole compound I have experimented with so far is reta — after reviewing the studies, I decided that was the route to take.
