Alright, where do I start with myself. Since February I've been on semaglutide, hitting the gym, and improving my diet. At the start I weighed 480, and I'm not sure how much I've dropped since the gym's scale maxes out at 420. Still, I can feel the change and my clothes make it obvious some pounds have come off. It feels like I've been heavy for as long as I can remember. I was one of those big fellas whose actual weight shocked everyone because I "carried it well". And truthfully, when I was sitting between 300 and 350, my size wasn't really an issue. Then I went past 500 and it's like the person I used to be is gone, and now I'm just trying to keep my head above water. I'm here to learn

Hi! It's wonderful that you're feeling better — that ought to be the aim no matter what. Really happy to have you join us; there's plenty here to pick up.

Your remark about keeping your head above water really stayed with me. Most of my weight came off a few decades back, yet the isolation that goes hand in hand with just staying afloat has never left my memory.

Don't stop now — keep moving forward, one step at a time, and that includes becoming part of this forum 😉

Nice work! I get how annoying it is when a scale tops out below your weight. I'm also sick of seeing morbid obesity written on my medical records. The only thing we can do is improve ourselves, and hearing about other people's wins is one of the things that keeps me going.
