This whole thing sits way past the edge of what feels comfortable for me—and yes, I realize how silly that sounds when I'm parked alone at my computer—but putting myself out there has never come easily. 
I hit 50 not long ago, and I'm lucky enough to be someone whose face doesn't match that number. Truthfully, revenge is what brought me here. The healthy kind. The kind you get from treating yourself better, living inside your means, and growing into your strongest self. Working out is something I love, and I've racked up plenty of wins—but what if the ultimate was within reach... what if I could finally become the badass I've always pictured myself as!
A bit of anger (fine, a whole lot of anger) is the fuel I'm using to spark a transformation. At minimum, it's fantastic motivation.
Humor is my go-to when things get awkward, so expect to see a fair amount of it from me. Learning, swapping stories, and discovering resources that support me on this fresh path and give me strength as I go—that's what I'm excited about.
Reddit is where I kept seeing this forum come up, and it seemed like a solid starting point.
Can't wait to meet everybody!
