Hey everyone,

I always find these intro threads a bit uncomfortable to write, but I decided to push past that and introduce myself.

I'm 32 years old, live in Canada, stand 6'1, and I'm quite fresh to this whole world. For the past couple of months I've spent a lot of time reading up on peptides and GLP-1s, wanting to get a solid grasp of how they work before I actually started.

At the moment I weigh roughly 250 lbs, and that's actually 25 lbs lighter than 6–8 weeks ago, thanks to retatrutide (reta).

Honestly, I've never really been in good shape. I've begun things in the past but never kept at them long enough for any real results to show. Lately something just clicked, and I decided I genuinely want to treat my health seriously and make actual changes rather than constantly promising myself I'll begin "next week."

So far reta has been a big help with keeping my appetite in check, which has made holding a calorie deficit far simpler than anything I'd tried previously.

I'm still extremely new to all of this and picking things up as I go, so mostly I've been reading and learning from what others have gone through.

Excited to learn from the community here and hear about what's worked for other people.

Thanks for having me.

I'm in the same boat, reta has done the job for me, nearly more than I needed. As I titrate up, I have to make sure my protein stays high. Losing muscle is not something I want! I suppose that counts as a good problem to deal with.

I would say welcome, but I only arrived here recently as well. 😄

Greetings from a fellow new member, and well done on your latest weight reduction! GLP1s (along with other therapeutic peptides) really are an amazing breakthrough, and I wish for them to continue benefiting you 🙂
