Hi everyone,

I started down the path of losing weight at the start of this year, and I went through all of the published data.

My first RT dose came in early February. Things were going fine until a storage problem in early march caused my RT to denature because of high temps. Paying high prices again wasn't something I wanted to do, so I'm here now to read about your journeys and learn more about myself. Losing weight is my goal, but I also want to learn about things that aren't included in the studies.

I won't ask for your exact location, but which place gets seriously hot during March?

Take Arizona: this March it broke heat records, hitting 40 degrees celsius!
There should be a comma in that sentence. A power outage hit my mini fridge, and by the time I returned, it had been sitting at room temperature for no more than the entire weekend; I wasn’t willing to gamble, so I tossed it.

Hello, I'm starting Reta as well. What dose did you take first? I've just begun at 0.5mg. Is it typical to feel nothing? Today is only my day 3.
My starting dose was 2mg weekly. The hunger blunting kicked in really strongly. Once 4 weeks had passed I moved up to 3mg and stayed there for 2 weeks. Since I pinned before bed, the impact hit me clearly by the following morning.

I didn't know as much as others do, so my starting point was 5mg each week. That 5mg gets split into 2 pins per week. Nothing in the way of side effects has really stood out for me. Food cravings are way down. The biggest change is that I no longer reach for snacks in between meals. It's been close to 3 weeks now. So far I've dropped 15 pounds. On top of that, I have more energy. If it keeps doing its job, I figure I'll stick with it.

It's interesting how divided people are about dosing 1x versus 2x per week. Either approach is likely fine, but I'd like to see clearer evidence on the matter

To me, pinning twice a week rather than once seems to be mostly in the mind. It serves as a reminder for me of the goal I have set. With a half life of 6 days, levels in your system stay up well enough when you pin once a week. A few people mention that pinning twice a week helps quiet their hunger. My view is that if twice a week leaves me feeling better, that is what I will stick with. Either way, you come out ahead. 😊

personally, I lean toward once-a-week injections being the best approach.

Everywhere I look, the advice is to begin at a low dose and then raise it weekly in small increments. Keep in mind this could differ for people coming off Tirz or other glp1s, since they may already have some saturation. Given a half life of -6 days, accumulation to steady state happens over the first 4 weeks. My 2 lab rats will take .5 in week one, then add .5 weekly until reaching either 2.5 or unwanted symptoms, with a reassessment every week. Because we keep steady gym and step goals, we are aiming for slower weight loss and want to meet protein targets through food, so completely silencing food noise is not something we want. I purchased 2 kits of RT20, which is a bit much per vial, but we will track how far the first kit goes and adjust upward when necessary. Hope that helps! Define your own goals and journey, but go slowly—it’s not a race, more of a journey!

Also, here in south east Tx, we already reached 90 degree heat in March!

The intended schedule is 1x per week, but certain individuals experience significant adverse effects such as nausea and insomnia that fade within 2-3 days, so dividing the dose can smooth out those intense reactions. Others who don't have trouble are able to manage 1x a week.
