Hi everyone! I've been reading along for a while and have only now signed up, so I can take part in the discussions and pick up more! For years I was stuck — nothing I tried shifted my weight, and Hashimoto’s plus menopause only muddied things further. In 2025 I set out to do whatever I could to look after myself better. Being a researcher by nature, I read everything I could get hold of and then started bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, swapped my thyroid meds, fixed my sleep, reworked my nutrition plan around gut health and lower inflammation, and pushed harder on hydration and exercise. Better, certainly — but the weight wouldn't move, and worse, my blood sugar began creeping up for the first time, until November when my a1c came back right on the borderline of prediabetic. GLP medications had come up in all that reading, though it wasn't until then that I decided to try them for myself. Compounded tirzepatide started on Dec. 1, 2025, beginning at just 1 mg and titrating up to 7.5 over time, and my average blood sugar has finally landed in a happy place (per my cgm). The loss has been slow but steady, which after being completely stuck for so long makes me very happy… 24 pounds gone in 22 weeks! Eventually I'd like 90 pounds off from where I started… and to add some muscle if the weight training I'm taking up allows! So protein has had my full attention.

Ordering has just happened — a single vial, which I reconstituted, plus one of Reta that I plan to begin soon, stacking just 1 mg at first while stepping the tirz down to 5.

Learning is why I'm here, and the thing tripping me up at the moment is that crypto is a total blank for me. Soon enough I'll need it though, since ordering kits is the next step. Beyond that I want to understand testing better, past the coa the vendor hands over. And I'm curious about other peptides too, particularly anything that helps skin, inflammation, brain health and arthritis.

Delighted to be part of this community and to learn from you all!
