Hey y'all, just introducing myself as a new member here. I'm a 32 year old male from the southeast US. Started on Tirz back toward the end of March through one of the popular online providers you see advertised everywhere. Stuck with it until my first vial was empty at the end of April. I was having a hard time ordering more from them and so I ended up missing doses for several weeks.
I had heard about Reta from a friend, and after doing quite a bit of research on it, decided to switch to that and found somewhere to get it. Been on Reta since early May, about 7-8 weeks, and have had good results with it. I probably titrated up way too fast and was impatient, increased from 2mg starting out to currently on 8mg. I know the phase III trial data we have now shows the most results at the 9-12mg range. No real side effects until making the jump from 4mg to 8mg, probably should've increased more gradually, that's when nausea and fatigue hit but it was still very manageable. Up until then the only suspected side effect was occasional insomnia, but I have a history of that so didn't think much of it.
Of course everyone is wondering about the weight loss. Well, at my biggest I weighed about 395 pounds. With diet changes and trying traditional methods of weight loss, I was able to get down to around 370. I started on Tirz at this point and while on it was able to get down to about 355, but due to the missed doses some of it came back. I ended up starting Reta at about 365 pounds, and I'm currently down to about 325. Still a long way to go, but definitely loving the results so far.
