Hey all! I just signed up, mostly because I want to get a better handle on GLP-1s, peptides, weight loss, and metabolic health in general.

I’ve used GLP-1 meds before, but dropping weight hasn’t gotten easier, so I’m curious about what’s worked for other people and what kinds of experiences and strategies they’ve had. Right now I’m on mounjaro with a drs rx, mainly to bring my A1c down.

For close to 20 years I’ve been taking prescription meds for major depression. Long-term medication use has made me pay more attention to my overall health, my liver in particular. My grandmother died from cirrhosis tied to fatty liver disease, so keeping my metabolic and liver health in good shape is something I really care about.

I’m not trying to swap out my prescriptions on my own or treat myself without guidance. My goal here is to learn, look into options that research backs, and hear from folks with real-world experience. Cost matters to me too.

Excited to pick up knowledge from everybody, ask stuff, and share my own journey as I go😊 thanks for maybe reading this short novel haha

For the majority of individuals, tirzepatide delivers solid results. Add a bit of gentle movement alongside tirz, and keep an eye on what you eat. Reaching your goal is possible.

I feel exactly the same way! When Sem first came out, I tried it and saw zero results... After switching to Triz, the pounds came off incredibly fast! In 6 months, close to 40 lbs lost!!

40 pounds is fantastic.

At the beginning for me, I had reached a stage where my body seemed determined to keep every single pound. Dieting stopped producing results. Working out stopped producing results. Those are classic signs of Insulin Resistance in its early stages.

What I've discovered since is that staying hydrated, continuing to upgrade my nutrition, and trying to be more active.... makes the weight loss process go far more smoothly.

In fact, just letting myself get dehydrated can bring my progress to a halt.

Appreciate it! These days I'm doing meal prep and getting more protein in. I fast for 14-16 hours nearly every day. Could be that fun perimenopause phase we ladies deal with 😣

What an incredible achievement! Well done on all your progress 🙌🏽

Hi and welcome! The reason I'm here is that fatty liver has begun to develop for me, so I realize the moment has come to try this and treat it with real commitment. My dad deals with stomach problems, in part from a lifetime of unhealthy food addictions, and as I get older I'd really like to avoid ending up in the same situation.
