Hey everyone, John here — 66, retired, living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two kids and four grandkids call me grandpa, and I make my living as a writer and photographer. Staying fit has never been a struggle for me: 50+ years in the gym, college football in my past, always on the move. Then 62 rolled around and my health took a nosedive. Forty plus pounds came on and I stopped moving much. At 64 I went on Ozempic for roughly 6 months, shed the majority of that forty lbs, and finally got serious about my own care. The semaglutide became too expensive to keep up, so I stayed in the gym, yet 10 lbs stuck around no matter what. Last week I started Retatrutide, and I'm still training and eating clean. My goal is 30 lbs down while holding onto muscle, and I'm aware the long term benefits of glp1 are significant. End of the month I plan to add KLOW. Looking forward to what's ahead, and thanks for having me here.

Appreciate you laying that out — starting on sema and later moving over to reta seems like a pretty typical path 😉. Fingers crossed reta treats me better on the side effect front. My own sema schedule was quite conservative, though: 2x per week at 0,25 mg.

The main thing I'm trying to nail down right now is where my reta starting dose should land after coming off sema. Can't wait to get that answered first.

Greetings, another person from Wisconsin! I'm also new to this place, though I've been taking Retatrutide since autumn of last year—both to manage my immune disorder and to assist with losing weight.
To me, "Wisconsinian" has always had a nicer ring to it.

Welcome!

Welcome aboard, John! On Tuesday I'm kicking off a 3 month Tirzepatide regimen. Combined with hitting the gym, I'm eager to see what results April brings.

Go Bucky! I'm a Wisconsin native, attended high school in Milwaukee at 35th and Wisconsin, and I was a freshman during your junior year.

Which college did you play ball for?

Wishing you the best on your journey

You've definitely come to the right spot, and best of luck.

Did you know a Gopher by the name of Joe Weipert? I believe he played tight end or wide receiver.

MUHS was my school too. And you?

Welcome! My closest friend hails from La Crosse! Reta has been amazing for me, though the results aren't as quick as you'd think. It's reduced my drinking and vaping, and it does assist with food noise. Stick around and continue the great effort! I hope that when I reach my 60's, I'm still approaching my health in a positive and productive manner!
