Hey whats up! Mid 40's male in good old NJ, in and out of fitness for more than a quarter century. My powerlifting total reached the 1200s before injuries took me out. I doubt I'll ever be that strong again, though a 2 plate bench/squat should keep me ticking over until retirement. I turned to GLPs to fight the binge eating and drinking that has dogged me since I was young. Even medicated, the episodes still flattened me and I'd eat back every calorie I had slowly dropped over the year. 40lbs up and then down again every year since 20yr old — never looking the same in photos is pretty wild when I stop to think about it. Anyway, last year was the first time I managed to lock in: 218 down to 200, then back up to around 208. I was hunting my balance point, found it, and sat at 208 all year, first time in forever. My provider back then capped my sema dose at 1.6mgs, and while that was working fine I decided to look at other options, which is how I landed here. With Reta I'm down in the 180s (a deficit of 1 to 2 lbs a week, depending on the weekend cheats), doing a 5k a day, and back in the gym. I'll keep the train rolling until I've got the shape I want, then maintenance. I want to show people that even without trt you can get good results in your 40s. (and maybe hop on further down the line)

Hello there! I never knew that NJ held the title of America's armpit!😂 (I'm from the west coast myself).

Nice work on your WL & best of luck with the remainder of your pep journey!

I'm in my.40s too and discovering excellent peps for aging and health that's declining.

Houston was my guess... and honestly, if we're handing out that title, Houston deserves it way more, lol

Glad to have you here. My own history with fitness was basically limited to "fittin' 'dis whole donut in my mouth," so I envy folks who put in the work. That said, I don't carry the injuries that a few people in my circle deal with, so maybe the grass is always greener either way.
