Morning all.

Want a bit of background on me? I'm 41, and I've lived in the DFW area of Texas ever since moving down here for college.

Let me explain how I ended up here, plus a few details about myself. I'm an addict in recovery — earlier this month I marked a year clean this time around — and food is a major problem for me: I fixate on eating and I overeat. Running is a big part of my life, and my weight usually sits at a level I'm okay with, but the pattern is that I do fine for a while and then hit long stretches where I consume a ridiculous amount of food (junk, mostly) every day. Over the last 6 months I've gained about 20 pounds, and that's with never dropping below 50 miles run each week.

As for peptides, BPC-157 has been in and out of my routine for roughly a decade. The first time I went looking for it was during a period when I was using, because of what it's supposedly supposed to do with GABA (substance abuse has likely wrecked a lot of my neurotransmitters).

Every so often I go back to BPC to try to manage and reduce running injuries.

GLP-1s had my curiosity but I never took the step to try them. People in my family and among my friends have done really well on them — eventually I came across info about reta and, despite hesitating, I went for it. It's been a week and a half since I started. I began at 1.5mg, then a week later moved up to 2mg. As long as it keeps working, I intend to stay at this dose.

My reason for being here is simply to learn more.

Anyway — I know this was rambly. But Thanks.

Glad to have you, and a year clean is no small feat — respect.

The running and the self-awareness you bring already put you in a solid spot, and that counts for plenty. For the food noise and binge side of the equation, Reta can serve as a genuinely helpful tool — particularly for those whose challenge isn't physical hunger so much as persistent, circling thoughts about eating.

Easing in at a low dose was a wise call, and holding there while it keeps doing its job tends to be the smart play.

There's plenty of solid material around here covering dosing, appetite management, and more… Happy you found us.

I've only been on Reta for 2 weeks, but already the food noise has dropped a lot, I'm losing weight, and I have more energy. My starting dose was .5mg every 4 days, and now I'm at 0.75 every 4 days. It feels far smoother, and I've never had any sickness! I also began GHKCU today.
