Hey everyone. I'm clearly a total newbie at this. My main goal is gathering enough information to figure out whether I should begin at all, and if so, what the smartest way to do it would be. Quick background: I've carried extra weight for most of my life. Not sure how to label it, but "beefy" is the first word that pops into my head. I appear to be someone who needs far more assistance than average to drop pounds. Even a big amount of working out barely seems to make a difference. I've only managed to get leaner 2 times in my entire life. 1 was from playing rugby, and the other was when I enlisted in the Corps. Now, with several injuries and getting older, shedding weight gets tougher every single day. BUT, that's exactly why I'm here! Looking forward to chatting with good people and picking up whatever I can from those in the know. Thanks.

Even if replying to my own post breaks some kind of etiquette, it would be great if anyone could point me toward a beginner's guide or similar resource, assuming one is out there. Since I'm completely new and I get how the whole newbie privileges and rules situation works, I've clicked through pretty much every tab on this site trying to track it down on my own, and so far no luck. What I'm aiming for is something along the lines of a wolverine stack with reta, I think? Mainly for fat loss and joint recovery type benefits. I realize nobody owes me help, so I'm fine with staying quiet for the time being and just learning the lingo and background info. Appreciate it.

I'm not sure whether that post is available on this site, though you have 2 options: look through some threads by searching, or use Google to find additional reading.

Alright, thanks for that. I noticed it mentioned over in the suggestions thread, but I couldn't actually find one. Kind of laughing to myself—despite being completely fresh here, it's amusing that I already recognize who Tracey is, yet I still haven't come across a beginner starter thread, ha. I figured maybe it was just me. Appreciate you getting back to me, and good luck to you too!

I'm also brand new, and my top tip would be to take it easy. The entire peptide world rests on an n=1 idea—your test group consists of a single individual: you. A protocol that suits someone else may not suit you at all. Consider reta dosing. Plenty of folks out there suggest 2mg/week, 4mg/week---some even say 12mg/week. My own starting point was 0.5mg, and I relied on a half-life calculator (there's a free one at glp3planner dot com) to project how a higher dose would build up inside me as time passed. Even at 0.5mg, I'm already seeing appetite suppression and weight loss. I honestly can't imagine what beginning at 2mg would have felt like! Still, that's just my own story--your body is the lab you work in.

Taking it easy also means you don't have to kick things off with a stack of 8 peptides during week one. (That said, you absolutely can--nobody here is a stickler for rules LOL). If you begin several peptides at once and something goes wrong, how would you figure out which one caused it?

Best of luck hitting your targets!

Appreciate it! That guidance definitely resonates, and I'll take it to heart. Actually, your point makes me think it could be wiser to simply begin with the reta first and find out whether losing weight on its own improves the other issues. Brilliant. Oh, and hello from a neighbor! I'm located around the Carlsbad area ha
