Hello, I came across this forum not long ago, and I'm posting for the first time to say hello. There's a lot I'm hoping to pick up from everyone here regarding GLP-1 and the new molecules in this space, which I find fascinating, and from this point on, to be useful to you as I work toward a healthier version of myself following 1 year on Mounjaro. I'm Spanish, and my path with GLP-1 started because of metabolic and weight issues that wouldn't let up even with dieting and training, plus injuries that kept sending me back to the starting point. In the end, after looking at my cycle, my doctor chose to offer me this option as a way to bring my blood tests, my weight, and my BMI under control, which had reached 34.7, along with 38.8% body fat and a weight of 111.10 kg at a height of 179 cm. 1 year into treatment, my BMI now sits at 27.6 with 21.7% body fat and a weight of 88.30 kg. Over this year I've dropped roughly 22.8 kg. The change and the results make me very happy, and I'm staying on treatment in order to get to 18% body fat, which is the goal, though in practical terms anything under 20% would already place me inside the main target. So I'm hoping I can answer questions, take part, and lend a hand with anything about Mounjaro and this exciting world of new molecules still to come. Since beginning treatment I've grown interested in this area, following scientists, doctors, protocols, and so on, even talking over things I'd read and found with my doctor that were new to him as well.
The one downside of treatment has been, and still is, how expensive it is. I've been picking all of this up over the weeks and months. So I don't want to go on too long. From here, I hope to read and read; I've already come across some very interesting threads. I also hope to learn and to contribute however I can. Best regards.
